The Black Gulf Wreckaz are from the Black Peninsula to the west of the Dragon Back Mountains. An area normally inhabited by orcs from the Blue Face tribe, over time a group of orcs decided that instead of travelling to areas to loot, they could wait for the loot to come to them. Being situated on the main naval trading route between Tilea and the land of the Border Princes, these orcs took an ingenious approach - they gathered on the cliff tops at night with lanterns and fire so that the passing ships would believe there was a settlement, dashing their vessels onto the rocks below. Then the orcs could pillage the wreckage.

Orcs have a love for brutality and it is rare than any group of them will not form some type of blood bowl team and so, it came to pass with the Wreckaz. The games originally took place at night on the cliff tops, by the light of lanterns held by the spectators and many fans still bring lanterns to the games, despite a stadium now having been built in the shadow of the Apuccini Mountains
