| The Beginnings: The team was set up with just a single Pheonix and Lion Warrior, in order to make sure there was enough players in reserve to survive any early mishaps.The extra money was spent on an apothecary, and 2 re-rolls, as well as a decent fan factor. Certainly the single 'scoring focus' Lion warrior got to see a lot of action, and Elthar soon became the star player of the team, still rolling the scores in when the team have dropped to 6 in number! 10 games: W10 D0 L0 - TD 34-3 - Cas 8/8/3 3/7/3 - Rank 156.99 First ten games all have gone exceedingly well, especially as they were often up against brutal teams such as Orcs. Elthar is the main star, but there are now plenty of up and coming behind him. His best ratio was just over three a game, but has now settled to 23 in 10 (as I bought another Lion Warrior). The team looks in good shape otherwise to carry on growing in strength, especially with the addition of 2 Dragon Warriors! 20 games: W17 D1 L2 - TD 70-14 - Cas 12/12/5 14/11/9 - Rank 157.64 The next 20 games started off well, with some more impressive performances being turned in. However the the Unpronouncables becamne the team to break the perfet record, scoring a 2-2 draw due to some late touchdowns and some diving skinks. The big problem was that many of the regular teams now resigned to the fact that they would conceed concentrated heavily upon just beating the Citadels up, and many key players, including both star Lion Warriors picked up niggling injuries. This was to be the cause of the first two loses, against strong opposition, as these key players had niggling injuries and missed the match. The team has somewhat stagnated, gaining little in the way of money recently due to their high rating, although those stars are beginning to show their age. That said a young and new Lion Warrior called Aiyne has just joined, and with both the regular catchers out through injury, he was left with the scoring responsiblities, and amassed 5 on his debut. One to look out for! 30 games: W23 D2 L5 - TD 97-28 - Cas 15/15/5 - 31/21/10 - Rank 157.25 Ouch. The last 10 games have been particularly damaging for the Anlec Citadels, who have suffered many injuries in their exploits. Whether this seems to be due to their willingness to face anyone in combination that hardly any coaches in the Coach Quaters seem to challenge them with anything but the hittiest of teams (funny that) or not, is down to individual speculation. That said they are still pulling off a great record, and remain in the fumbbl top 100. Aiyne has gone from strength to strength, being the Citadels' most valuable player at 195k. Eriond is proving to be a total wuss, but all that lack of match games has meant extra time in the gym where he has gained in strength! Elthar is now competing with two other players in the High Elf Top Scoring players for the second spot, with a chasing pack just looking toi be the first to reach 50! |
