Halflings, being a merry folk have to partake in the merriest of sports and so they do.

They also partake in Blood Bowl which is a lot less merry on the whole. But strangely appealing. So the halflings of Fylke gathered and said:
"Let us have a Blood Bowl team."
After which most of the people listening in disappeared quietly, but some remained. And those are the team today... Or well not exactly since the original founders are all dead or have left the team.

The promise of more food for each Touchdown and each victory they make keeps this team's spirits up.

If we live to fight another day
we can have a bottle of ale

And at Last the Foodeaters have reached game 185 and are now the halfling team with most games played ever!
Update: Alas, they are not anymore. Moments after my record ve6neo decided to start playing again 8^) But at least the Foodeaters are the first Halfling team to reach 50 victories.
UPDATE: As of the 6th of April 2005 the Foodeaters reached 260 games and has now got the most games played ever. However the true kings of Halflings and a great inspiration to all are still the Midgical Mastery Tour.

In the 185 games the Foodeaters have played and the numerous Skill rolls they have made there have been only one Strength Increase. Rejoice!
But in game number 189 Fred Yver became the person with the second Strength Increase in Foodeater History.
In 275 games the Foodeaters have a total of FOUR +ST increases. Not a bad record at all.

Foodeaters Hall of Fame

Dead Hall of Famers:

Slowroot Gardener: The older of the Gardener brothers he managed to get ST7 but was then killed like all dangerous players are.
Sleepbranch Kvistar: Began his career in the shadow of Slowroot Gardener but after the death of Gardener he became the Foodeater's top star. He played 77 games before he died. link
Gringo Hogboy: One of the earliest scorers and passers that the Foodeaters had. Despite his many injuries he managed to play on a lot but in the end the undying ones proved too much for him.
Wenga Inunder: A strong player in all respects. Good at scoring and passing unfortunately he fell after 47 faithful games.
Tango: a great annoyer that always ran into the very thickest of opposition. It was inevitable that he would die eventually.
Inga Lunda: The longest living of the Lunda family players. The Lundas were renowned for their ability to hurt the opponent despite their short stature. When Inga died it was a hard blow to the Lunda family and they decided that they no longer wanted to play Blood Bowl. Inga Lunda also made the Foodeaters' first TD.
Pepsi Ündermark: The Ündermarks were great friends with the Lundas and both Pepsi and Inga met their demise in the same game.
Tsingis Khan: One of the the Foodeater's best passers ever. He would have retired after a drop in strength but the opponents got to him first.
Polka: In the footsteps of Tango, Polka became the greatest passer that the Foodeaters have ever had. (surpassed by U now)
Bolg Clumpfoot Bolg was a charismatic player that got everyone to like him even when he didn't actually play that good. All the attention helped him become a good player but it also proved to be his doom.
Inga Rose Rose was the third of the Rose family players, this one was a hardworking key player that never really reached star status but was a hard worker nonetheless. And at the time of her dying she was also the third top scorer in the Foodeater's
Type Race Type Race was a very special player. He played 42 games before he died but never became very skilled. He was a veteran benchwarmer for the Foodeaters for very long and his break finally came during the Foodeater's 100th game where he got the only Star player Points. Type Race is the player with the least skills that has ever reached the Foodeater's hall of Fame.
Hobo Undone Hobo is the one of the most legendary of legendary flings in the Foodeater's history. With his impressive 67 SPPs he's the halfling with the highest in the team ever (this has now been passed by Under Lad (1.7)). He was also the first Foodeater player ever to get a booking in ALL fields of the spps. Truly a mighty player that will be missed by the whole team.
Under Lad From the same generation as Hobo Undone comes Under Lad that undoubtedly passes Hobo in magnificence. Under Lad is top halfling blocker of all time and despite an early leg wound he continued to fight and reached the "Halflingian dream" of a guard-block-sidestepping annoying little bugger. Of all Halfling stars thus far Under Lad shines the brightest. His killing ways is a true inspiration when the dark forces finally decides that the land of the halflings could be something to conquer.
Glob Clumpfoot One of the players that played in the Foodeater's 100th game. Killed by a kinsman. Glob was the longest standing halfling yet of the Foodeaters and the only Halfling so far to pass the 60-game mark.
Dexter Jones A long standing player and the last halfling left that played in the 100th game. Dexter Jones also reached game 149 but never got to play the long-desired 150th game. A player with the foodeater record of two Interceptions and the second foodeater ever with marks in all fields.
Vicks Race: The last of the Races, Fifth player to reach 50 SPP and a great scorer and player if not a fighter. He will also be remembered for doing two TDs in the 150th game.
Jaffa Sukka: 21 games without a single Star Player Point is an accomplishment worthy of the Hall of Fame.
Fred Yver: The first of the halflings in the Foodeaters to ever get a Strength increase. That after the halflings had played 189 games.
Dobbe Dabbi: Fourth longest living Halfling on the Foodeaters ever. And that in a time when the Foodeaters had a turnover rate unmatched. Dobbe Dabbi lived through it all. Killed on a failed GFI in his 60th game.

Retired Hall of Fame

Valenci Urdo: A fan favorite and an important presence off the field rather than on it. He retired after getting his leg eaten by an Orc and is now in the coaching staff.
Hurri Kvarnbacken: Kvarnbacken was a stable player who often failed to show up for games. After the death of his dear friend Wenga Inunder he decided that he didn't want to meet the same destiny and became a coach instead. Kvarnbacken is also the fling with the most played games so far with his record of 52 games (now passed by Iain Banks 3.7). How many of these he actually played is another matter though.
Svinhufvud: Svinhufvud left together with many other veteran players when Sleepbranch Kvistar died. In his days Svinhufvud had been a key core player to the team but after the death of Kvistar he didn't want to have anything to do with Blood Bowl anymore.
Bingo Bungou: The brightest of the B's was also to be its last when Bingo went back to gardening after the death of Kvistar.
Dungtwig Gardener: The second Gardener brother always had to work in the shadow of Sleepbranch Kvistar, mostly because of an early injury that proved an annoyance throughout. After many games Gardener decided that he was too old to play and gave way to new fresh recruits to take the field and he would help coach them.
Kublah Khan Jr.: Jr. had a chance to become as great a passer as his father but an early injury stopped him from getting that high. In the end he served as a key core player but left when Kvistar died.
Iain Banks: A long time player and the most senior surviving player of the Foodeaters Hall of Fame. His wounds caught up with him in the end but he was a great presence both on field and off field and even though his injuries stopped him from participating much he did so with all his heart when he did.
Wedge Race Following Race traiditions Wedge Race was not a very remarkable player except for the fact that he did the Foodeater's 150th TD. The Races are to be remembered.
U: In the same game that U reached the Foodeater all time top in passing he got injured so much that he no longer felt that he wanted to play blood bowl. U was also the fourth Foodeater ever to reach 50 Star player points
Ben Bova: Ben Bova was one of the hard working stars and he always worked in the shadow of the trees. After gaining an injury in the Foodeater's 100th loss he decided that younger players should take over.
Ray Loriga: A long time player with very few accomplishments that suffered a lot of injuries before finally deciding that he had had enough an retired. Only reason he is on the hall of fame is because I haven't updated the hall of fame in a long time!
Moist Bark: 172 games, 11 TDs, 3Ints, 78 CASes and 12 MVPs. There is lots to say about this legend. But it would not fit in here.
Stanislav Lem: A promising young player with an impressive mark in all fields very quickly. However an injury cut his career short and he felt that Blood Bowl no longer was his game and decided to take up writing instead.
The Holy Number: The concept that took the Blood Bowl field 18 times before it became a star. And what a star. Top Foodeater Scorer of all time and second Foodeater Halfling to reach 100star player points. At the time of his retirement he was also the oldest Foodeater Halfling ever.
Twirly Grenar: The Greatest Shining star the Foodeaters ever had. Six interceptions, 100 Casualities, 192 games, 2 Touchdowns and 18 MVPs...
Kalle Hittar: The best halfling ever... EVER.
Juhani Sukka: When he retired he was a last remnant of an older generation. With a lot of younglings running around his feet. He was also the last of the Block generation of Foodeaters.
Cory Doctorow: A key player that kept the team going through some really tough times. Was also really close to getting a Larson once (Only the Interception didn't happen) Also a pretty good author.
