Background Being immortal isn't easy. Oh sure, the first 200 years for an elf are great, but after that, well ... the poetry starts to sound monotonous, the dancing is just prancing, and all that singing can begin to grate. The wood elves of Mirkwood discovered they had a problem when their elders started un-elvish and frankly alarming pursuits such as free-climbing, tree-diving and bear-tickling. Their philosophers realised that without the possibility of death, life just lost all purpose and meaning. The answer soon presented itself - Blood Bowl!
