Plasmoid has a league going, drop him a line on here.
And I agree, It would be neat to play turns on here without having the opponent signed on, but with the skills it would be such a hassell.

Haha Stunty would be fun to get into but I feel like too much of an ass if I have to leave mid-game.
As for Plasmoid, that sounds awesome. Does it use the same client as fumbbl? How's that organized? I guess those are probably questions better suited for Plasmoid himself so maybe I'll shoot him a message. Thanks for the tip.

There's nothing stopping anybody starting one on here. If you had a league where everybody understood you play 1 half or 1/4, then why not?

That's true. Just seems odd to request it I guess. If it's in a league for that sort of thing that would be perfect. Messaged Plasmoid. Thanks again!

Interesting idea harvestmouse. Fumbblers could join that league to play in the moments where they couldn't do a full game. It would probably rely heavily on irc and feature mainly friendly one-offs, I think (wouldn't want to schedule weekly games in 4 1/2 hr parts), but I could see a niche for that.

Also, bloodbowl 7s could be something for you. Those games are far quicker.

It's possible to do this now also.
You just have to remain in the game all the time.
Thus, keeping s client open on a computer for a very long time.

Is there any league that does this sort of thing? Maybe I should start one.

No, but I'm sure there maybe some interested. It might be a good idea to look on TFF as well. A lot of players don't play here as they don't have time for a full match.
The problem with this of course, compared to PBeM, is that both players have to present at the same time. So arranging games could be a nightmare. So....open league format is going to be much better than closed league.

That will be a problem especially since I'm in a less popular timezone. PBEM would be preferable for sure but at least it's an option. Plasmoid hasn't gotten back to me yet and if he doesn't in a couple days maybe I'll set one up. Would be fun!

Plasmoid is very busy. Also he doesn't visit this site often. He is reliable though. I can pretty much guarantee he doesn't visit here outside of weekends.

You might want to have a look at vassal blood bowl, it allows swapping between live interaction and pbem
