SoB in the CoS Final
I never expected to be playing in the final of a major. Putting aside the fact I mainly play a tier 2 race, my early Fumbbl record is far from impressive. It took me a long time to get a positive win record, and even now I think my game play is far from the exceptional play that the top coaches seem to put out every single game.
That said, while I know my Sons of Brutus aren't the Human team in the box with the best winning record, they have taken home more Premiership Championship titles than any other team. They have over time built a bit of a legacy I suppose.
Even then, they had played 424 games before winning a HLP title while at the time the most played humans in the box had played 433 games. It was season fifteen of the HLP, and the seventh premiership season that the SoB had contested. The conclusion we can that from that is that the SoB are pretty slow learners. Subsequent to season fifteen the SoB completed a further 12 sprints to season 29, collecting another 5 Premiership titles and 2 Conference titles.
We've had our ups and downs along the way, and as I've mentioned previously I once thought about retiring the team somewhere around the 300 game mark when I was in the middle of my 80 game Sobbing. We persisted and found other reasons to play for, and used the Human League sprint structure to strive for improvement in my game play. I watched others playing the same race, learned from their success, and slowly improved season by season.
Yes, it took me a long time to get good, 975 games with the SoB at last count. I'm still not great but I think I'm good enough to take advantage Nuffle's blessings when they are on offer. Nuffle has been with me long enough to reach a major final so I'm hoping my luck holds one more game, but even if it doesn't I had a fantastic experience getting this far.
We'll be playing for the newer coaches that always feel outgunned, outplayed, or just plain unlucky. We've lived there and still visit often.
Stick with it my friends, find your own way to enjoy the game, avoid the easy road and you'll find your own success and build your own legacy.

Funny to read they had a bit of a struggle to start up - I kind of assumed they always were like they are now. Best of luck in the finals, take one home for the HLP!

This is pretty awsome. Win or lose, I hope to be there cheering just as hard for your 300 team as I would be for mine. If you win, it's a set of FUMBBL dice mailed to you for you to give back to the community as you choose (or to keep), and a whole lot of love and attention to your team's bio page. I've been wanting to goof around on photoshop again, and I've been wanting to make the SoB's logo and team page more awsome for a long while. If there's anything on the Kruelty's page you like and want, I will happily modify the team colors to make it yours. If you please, that is.

I actually don't think that even with the best coach Humans could be expected to win SWL. A better measure of success would be sustained reasonable results and making prem. This is something I'm sure dunenzed could achieve based on what I've seen from him.
