Guy Gavriel Kay, of team A Well-Read Pestilence, scored his 62nd touchdown in his 83rd game, becoming the highest scoring Nurgle player of all time. He already had the record for Ranked, and now breaks a record set by Party Boy from Griefers Gonna Grief in Blackbox. Guy has done this despite having no stat bonuses and only one double skill (Dodge, of course).

I was wondering about this a little while ago, and trying to think if maybe he hasn't done this precisely because he has no stat bonus and only one double. There was a period where I was wondering if I shouldn't retire Guy - he was built as a dedicated ball-carrier, but I had just rolled my fifth (!) +AG between my other three Pestigors, and I was ending up using them a lot for scoring. But, never one to retire a healthy player, I figured that attrition would make my decisions for me. That happened pretty fast - I think having five +AG on Pestigors lasted a grand total of about eleven turns. That was a couple dozen games ago, and Guy is still trucking along. He almost never gets targeted by opposing players - no +AG, no Claw/MB, no Tentacles - and so when things go my way he's almost always still around to help me score.

Having become a big fish in a small pond, I now turn my attention to the big pond. Turns out 62 TDs is also just enough to put Guy on the Top Active Scorers list for all races, tied for 22nd. There's always something new to aim for...
