EXTRAORDINARY!!!
On August 7th 2009

At 34 Minutes and 56 Seconds Past 12

The Time and date will read...
12:34:56 07/08/09

If you remove the 0's /'s and :'s It will read

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

This will not happen for another Thousand Years!!!

How cool is that :)

Pretty cool, but it will only take 100 years to get there again. :D not 1000. :D

In a hundred years it will be 2109, That would make 8 (1) 9, but In a thousand years that 1 wouldn't be there as it would be year 09 again, technically your right but its not quite exactly the same :)

I don't get that. if you choose to have more than 2 numbers on the last one, then it would be 2009 now and not 09. in hundred years it is 2109, which will be 09 with only two numbers as you had in your blog. I still stick to it coming again in hundred years not thousand years. doesn't really matter to me if it is 3009 or 2109, the last two numbers are 09 in both.

01:23:45 06/07/89 would be cooler imho.. .just slightly less than 80 Years away....;)

in America, we do it month/day/year, so that was yesterday for us.

oh, and the one I'm looking forward to is 09:09:09 09/09/09 :D

09/09/09, a funky-looking date americans an europeans can agree on ;)

Call me grumpy if you like but these dates dont really excite me. They will be just like any other time or date. What happens on certain dates is what makes them significant not the numbers. And why do americans count the months before the day? Always seemed a bit weird to me. Over here (UK & Europe) we start with the shortest period of time and work along. Can anyone from the US explain why you put the month first?

cause we're loonies? we want to be different? I dunno, probably both :P

If you ever had to work with dates (and their representations, especially as strings) you would very quickly realize how much better 20090807 is than 07082009

If you are working with a 12 hour clock instead of a 24 hour one, you'll only have to wait 12 hours.

chewie wins.

11:11:11 on the 11/11/11 is much better, and just a little over 2 years away.

I do find these sorts of things fun, although I always seem to miss them.

I do find it amazing though that every time one of these dates comes around, the person pointing it out always claims it won't happen again for some huge number of years, and yet these things just keep rolling around every few years or so. I tell you what, it's currently 11:08:13 on 10th July 2009AD here, and while it doesn't seem all that special, that's something not going to happen again *ever*!

Well, ok, it'll happen another 21 times today thanks to different time zones, but you get the point : )
