Good Afternoon Bob and Good Afternoon Coaches,
Here are our round 4 winners B and boy do we have some standouts this week.
Thats right Jim, lets jump straight into it and announce our winner of
Slayer of the Week - Cortez Allen of the Nuln Gunners.
Jim, Allen put in an Orge-like performance against the Akendorf Griffins and equalled the league record for CAS in a match with 5 becoming only the third player to "hit" these dizzying heights.
What a game by the Gunners' star Bob, he SI'd James Lachey and then -ST Keith McGill in the first half and then topped this by killing Telvin Smith & Danny Amendola in the second half.
Hightower better look out Jim, there may be a new sheriff in town!
On to our
ground player of the week Bob, Art Monk of the Grenzburg Greenskins.
Jim, this was great performance by a player always in the running for this award. In the first half against Dead Wood, once he got the ball, there was no taking it from him, he survived blitzes on Turn 9, 11 and 13, before running in for the TD.
In the second half, he picks up the ball in the first turn and helps the Greenskins marshal the game and runs in the winning TD on Turn 14, running for a fantastic 38yrds total.
A great player Bob and some weeks that would win him the coveted "Pomb" Play of the Week! but this is not one of those weeks!
Spot on Jim, this week our
POW! goes to Marvin Jones of the Norden Legion vs the Muckenhof Manticores.
Bob, what a play by Jones. Firstly, he stands up to last round's slayer of week "Tiny Malone" by surviving 3db blocks on (2)T5, then (2)T7 and again on (2)2T9. Whats more he then intercepts the ball on (2)T9 after being hit and dodges away, making a break for it. Jones then survives a fourth hit on (2)T11 and when the manticore think they have him surrounded he dodges aways and passes the ball, leading to the game icing TD!
Simply outstanding Jim and a worthy winner.
But on a sad note to end Bob, it is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of a DLE pioneer and fan favouite, Nicola Krukenberg of the Carroburg Crimson Cascage.
Sadly Krunkenberg's last act on a blood bowl field was to fail to pick up a ball in front of the Erengrad Vikings' monster Keenan Robinson, who cut down our beloved Krukenberg.
A bad week for the League Jim and I know they will be feeling this loss both in Carroburg and Wolfensburg....
Well Bob, that is goodbye from us and we will see you all for round 5.
