complete agreement on the core rules changes there Jan, except the extreme heat rule. That shouldnt have a Khemri Caveat, but the rule does need to be reworked.
The roster ideas are more hit and miss

I'm suprised you dont have anything about passing there

A +1 modifier after each failed KO recovery attempt is something I'd really like to have in the next edition.

Surely this will just be a supplementary box to the existing edition?

Flesh out some of the missing teams (bring back Slann!) and any other team that doesn't have unique skills yet.

Include special play cards so everyone has to go out and buy the box.

Not sure I am ready yet for the entire rulebook to be rewritten again, I am just getting the hang of "jumping", "seasons" and "catestrophic" passing...

If PA stat is kept, I'd like to use either a D8 or 2D6 like in 2nd edition to work out the passing.

Personally i will not revert anything of the BB2020 to the previous BB2016 which i found was worst.
I would just implement some very minor changes like

- I would remove from kick-off table whatever result which could ban one player from the beginning of the game (so : officious ref ok stunned, but no fire off. : throw a rock: NEVER EVER AGAIN).

- Nuffle prayer. There are some things i don't understand: if you win a prayer of the nuffle you should have a benefit. So for instance the effect which impact both teams should be removed and impact only one (eg Moles under the pitch). Treacherous Trapdor i find quite useless can be left but if the GW will implement something different i would take it

Agreed. It will be a tidying of the rules imo

Animal Savagery and Unchannelled Fury: non-Block/Blitz Actions work on a 3+, not on a 4+.

Collection of reasonable opinions from this thread so far:

Core Rules

-Remove Star player Special Rules
-Remove MB+2 from the game
-D3 nominated MVP return
-Rushes/GFI become more difficult, first 2+, 2nd 3+, 3rd 4+
- officious ref removed, bring back throw rock, BH max. Or only send off for one drive
-blitz! kick off result counts as a normal team turn again, but retains the limited number of players can move rule
-HMP cannot be wildly inaccurate
-Accurate and cannoneer returned to one skill
-cloud burster and safe pass back to one skill
-revert injujry/cas table to Blood Bowl 2016 version (which in turn fixes apo)
-remove redraft, introduce ageing roll from 4th skill, gain a Niggle if failed. 1d6 4+ to get no injury, 5+ on 5th skill 6+ on 6th skill.
-Get rid of Leap's max +1 modification
-hypnotic gaze has a variable roll after the skill so adjusted for specific players like Blood Lust (2+) (3+) etc...
-remove low cost linemen rule
-remove prayers of nuffle
-revert skills ups and stat increases to the previous version, but you do not have to take any skill when you skill up, you can opt not to and incur no price increase
-1 rr a turn again
-Diving catch now works no matter what if the ball ends up in the players tackle zone
-Claw and Mighty Blow are allowed to stack again
-sweltering means rushes are not possible
-bring back IGMEOY
- fix wildly inaccurate passes

Garion you missed out the rule that any halfling attempting to weaponise pastry is executed

FWIW, I really like multi-rerolls. It's not more or less strategy, just different.
