Hello,
I was under the impression that a riot in turn 1-4 moves the clock one turn forward, while a riot in turn 5-8 moves the clock one turn backward.
In this game a riot happened in turn 7, moving the clock one turn FORWARD to turn 8.
Is that normal? Did the rules change? |

In turn 1 it always moves forward. In turn 8 it always moves backwards. Turn 2-7 can vary. That's how I've always understood it.
EDIT: BB16 rules say on turn 7 it should move backwards.
In BB2020 Riot is gone from the Kick-Off Table and replaced with Time-Out where it's always moved back on turn 6,7 and 8. |

I assume that Fumbbl is - for the moment - still applying BB16 rules, right?
Then how can the clock move forward from turn 7 to turn 8 (instead of turn 6) due to a riot? |

It might be one team is on turn 6 and the other is on turn 7? |

CRP rules say: If the receiving team's turn marker is on turn 7 for the half, both teams move their turn marker back...
That wording did not change for 2016 afaik.
The receiving team's turn marker was on 6, so all is fine. |

Ok, I think I get it. Kick-off happens before advancing the turn marker. Riot moved turn marker from turn 6 to turn 7. Then my turn started, moving the marker from turn 7 to turn 8.
Still, feels funny. In over 2000 games this is the first time it happened... |

Riot being 1/18, the clock going forward 1/2, you receiving the ball after Turn 6 of a half, throw in some of those games might be a while ago; remembering 1 in 2000 doesn't sound too far off the mark |
