Now I would have to say that I have a fairly large blacklist. Maybe not the largest, but up there. Now the way I look at it, if you're on the list, you're there for a reason. Those reasons include, but are not limited too being an a-hole, being rude to me, fouling in turn 8 (when you're not going to OT or something), making fun of me in the forums or in chat, reporting me to the admins so you can cheat (see older blogs), disconnecting after I foul your wardancer (see Lost Match Blog), making any game difficult to enjoy, particularly EXCESSIVE whining. If you can come up with a comic/light hearted way to moan that isn't obsessive compulsive. Great. But I roll up some bad dice too and if you complain about "dice rape," well, you just might make the list.
But today, I took someone off my list. They helped me out in a way. I needed a match and they were the only one online willing/able to play. So we did, even though the user was on "the list". And it was a fun, frustrating match. I made a few mistakes, ended up losing. We fouled each other repeatedly. It wasn't a big deal. Chat was intelligent and fun but not excessively smarmy. In any case, I decided to take this person OFF the list because I realized whatever it was I was mad about before doesn't really matter now, as long as we both had a good time.
So if you're on my list and want off send me a pm, I'll give you another chance if you're willing to give me one. Life is too short for grudges.
