Col's BB Pitch Construction Set
Work is continuing on my new Pitch Construction Set (link to forum thread)

I've finished work on the surfaces (a few more snuck into the next release), and the pitch markings will suffice for now (Dots are now included).

Next up are the weather layers and dugouts - both of these will be harder to do. I wish I could remember how I did the effects on some of my v2 pitches, notably the wet one.

I'm having some fun with transparent gradients and bumpmapping to simulate flood water, the harsh sun and shadow effect from the v2 'very sunny' pitch will be easy enough to recreate, as will the floodlit effect of my 'good' pitch. The Blizzard, Heat and perhaps even flooded pitch may all need to be effects applied to the final pitch, rather than a simple layer. For this, I may need to design actions (Photoshop) or scripts (Gimp) to recreate the effects once I've worked out the best ones. For instance, Heat would feature heat ripples, which would require some distortion of the final pitch.

Dugouts will require some intricate work if I am to design completely new ones, though for expedience, using the ones off the large fields shipped with the client would do for now, and is, like the rest of the Set, optional anyway.
