YARRR!!!
Everyone loves Pirates, right? Well, ok, there is the whole ninja debate, but I have to admit I'm a pirate man myself. Which is why I made a 'counts as' pirate team for a recent tournament!

Used them as Humans, once you get use to the models it's dead easy to see what each player was, plus I base coloured them 2nd Ed style.

The display board doubles as a dugout, the inn and courtyard lift out and fit on the edge of one side of a standard board and cover your turn, rerolls and Reserve/KO/RIP boxes.

Hope you like them!

THE BLITZERS

THROWER AND CATCHERS

Very awesome! And I agree, ninjas is teh lame!

Anyways, did you buy the miniatures as they are? And if so, where from? Or did they involve a fair bit of conversion?

nice work ^^

That is without doubt the coolest team I have ever seen.

It's even tempting enough to get people to play Humans and that's saying something!

Incredible!

Both you and Spubbbba should get a kick in the nuts... :p

Wow, I'm blown away! 25 responses and rated '6', I'm honoured. Thanks to everyone who likes them, they where a pet project of mine for a long while so I'm glad they've gone down well.

All the minis are from a company called Black Scorpian Miniatures, and all required some conversion of some kind, mainly just hand swaps. The Ogre is the only GW miniature, it's a converted Maneater.

Thanks again guys!

Awesome ! Aren't you scared they pass too much time in the KO/Injury box, with all that strong ale and loose women ? :D

Man, you're insane :D

Did you win "best painted"? I hope so.

I voted a '1' because you are a lucky git. I want to play you at the Poo Bowl.
Posted by Cribbleobblepie on 2010-12-07 22:02:04
No, didn't win best painted. Fireolli's Sarcos won that. But we won the team competition, which is all that mattered!

Cheating geordies.
Posted by Purplegoo on 2010-12-08 08:47:02
Now Silly, be nice. Don't look a bad loser.

They deserved second this year, better than third last. ;)
Posted by Cribbleobblepie on 2010-12-08 09:08:16
Now now Phil, if your team had all chewed their food properly on the second day you'd not all have have had the same problem in round six would you?

*CHOKE*

;)

Don't look at me - look squarely at Geoff 'weak link of team Blood Bowl' Porritt.

But we do make the error of playing too well early and beating the good teams, only to grind to a halt on table one at the last.

What we need to do is sack good coaches and embrace more average guys, get held back early and then beat n00bs late.

*Super sack-perfectly-good-manager-planning* ;)

I disagree purp. Geoff was average enough for my tastes :P
