Entry 1.
Decided to keep a small, let’s just say, journal detailing my painful experience during that lamented learning curve. This is not so much for other people as it is for myself to keep track on my daily games.

1. Game: Me 1 : 2 Oki Doki‘s Chaos. Not much to say really. I was honestly outclassed in everyway (The blocks thrown show that very well). Although there were a few very stupid mistakes and some bad luck on my part (90percent of gfi failed), however the TD that did come was an extremely lucky one for me, so I can’t complain seeing as Doki outmatched me by a good margin. Got my blitzer killed, but the apoth managed to save him.

2. Game: Me: 0 : 6 Polemarch’s Slaan. Beforehand I must point out that this was my first ever game against slaan. That aside both me and polemarch we’re back to the game after a long absence. Although I must bow my head down to him and say that he was indeed the better of us, I think that the result wasn’t utterly accurate since this was the greatest dicerape that I have ever experienced culminating in three blitzes in a row for the slaan. (Though to be honest, I got one blitz as well). By the end of the match I had 5 elves remaining (Dead Lineman, Niggled Lineman, -MA lineman and a poor journeyman will have to miss his next match somewhere included). This was one of those games that I felt mixed feelings for. On one hand, Polemarch was a great guy and fun to chat with, the 41SPPs he earned I do not feel sad for, but on the other hand, it was a soulcrushing game from start to finish and although I did came here to learn and knew well that I would get beat A LOT it was still somewhat uncomfortable. AND just when I was happy that the massacre was over… The ref added another turn. All in all, great guy, a worthy experience, but even for a light-hearted game it was a hard pill to swallow.

At this point the team looks comical, I remember people in the past dumping teams that didn’t even look half as bad, but I came here to soldier on with the same Angsty Neurotics and will continue to do so, in the angstiest saddest and melodramatic of ways. Oh woe is me and all that jazz.

First of all welcome to the site :) Its so great to see so many new faces at the moment :)

Secondly do not be discouraged if you loose a lot to start off with. I did and I can still remeber the day the I finally managed to get my win percentage above 50%. It felt darn good.

There is a wealth of information on the internet for BB so if you find you are really struggling have a look through the help section of this site and also search for BB tactics on google a lot of the info is really good stuff, and getting to grips with the basics will stand you in really good sted.

I hope to see you on the field :)

Love the attitude. Stick with it and the game gets easier.

I'm sure the community could have had a great deal of fun at my expense during my first month around here, had I kept a log of it. I lost my first 6 or 8 games, most of them badly, and had innumerable players horrifically maimed in the process.

My best advice: love the team, not the players (players die, teams stay around as long as you care to keep them). Roll fewer dice whenever possible. Don't give up free blocks. Don't forget to protect the ball. Always assume something you roll will fail, and make sure you have a plan for keeping it from being a disaster.

Thank you, but I'm not completely new to BB or Fumbbl, I got into it some two years ago, but never quite mastered it before leaving. Now I return and try to gather that little knowledge that I had before my exodus.
