Concessions

I truly believe conceding is a valid tactic.
For me it is the equivalent of throwing in the towel in boxing, folding a hand of cards or knocking over the king in chess

I don't want to see every boxing match end in death, every hand in cards resulting in someone losing his shirt or each chess match end with a solitary king versus an army.

And in Bloodbowl when the game becomes onesided I feel that discretion is the better part of valour.

I'd rather have my team survive to play on another day, and not waste my time playing a lost cause when I could have more fun playing a different (hopefully) more even game.

But that is just my oppinion, It is how I want to spend my time. For every one of me there are plenty more who want to see every game of bloodbowl go the distance, both for the enjoyment of when the plucky underdog overcomes incredible odds and to see teams destroyed.

As far as I know Conceding has always had a place in the rules of bloodbowl, and to concede risks penalties not only loss of revenue, FF and MVP but also the possible loss of star players. This is as it should be, and seems a fair price to pay for the team choosing to concede.

So if someone feels they need to concede (and obviously they fulfil the new concession rules here on fumbbl) I really honestly do not see the harm.
I also fail to see how this somehow harms the opponent who just got the concede, if anything he should be grateful for the bonus to his team without any further risk.

Anyhow just some disjointed thoughts
Ken
