GLT training games
Last year my chaos got trashed in a legend smack just before the GLT.
This year isn't much different. My Cult of Shadows were as good as ready for the tourney (282/241). But I figured I needed a bit more cash. They had 3 Chaos warriors with tentacles, a very good beastman that turned into a legend this weekend, niggled on his last skill and got fouled to death a few games after.
But in the training games I played this weekend, half my team died. Now they only have 11 players and a rating of 209/190.
I don't know if I'll get them ready by wednesday.
So maybe yet again no Cult of Shadows in GLT...

Those sorts of games are the reason I have frozen the High Princes...
I felt the risks from playing anymore games outweighed the rewards to be gained from them

Yeah, I struggled getting my lizards ready for the same reason (though apparently to a much lesser degree). I had them "let's pile up cash" from being ready, when I lost 2 skilled-up sauruses and my only blodging skink. I wasn't taking them to the GLT with rookie sauruses, so I spent maybe another 10 games just skilling up new ones.
Do what you can to get in. If you see me around before the deadline, hit me up and I'll play something with high FF.
With 340 games, you'll have no trouble getting into the Old Teams qual. I'm sure there will be a lot of "we're here because that's what we do" teams in there, and you'll be able to manage.

Thats why you should finnish your training games for GLT in February :D

the difference between you and a lot of coaches on here...
you don't play "prep" games before a tourney...you play as you would every day, and take any reasonable match...instead of the light fluffy "please don't hurt me" matches that most coaches take....
so despite the cult probably not being in the running again this year....props to you for not bowing down and taking the easy road to the tourney
