Wasteland Loners meet their doom
After afew months roaming around the BOX pitches, the Wasteland Loners coach was satisified of his first team performance. The guys had mixed results, but they were able to substain pretty well the bashiness of the environment.
So, he decided to apply to the FUMBBL B-Minor.
The first round was an expected match against a Chaos team: a win and only one casualty, mission done. But he was unprepared to the coming storm. It was not Chaos, but a bunch of undead coming from the Dark who unleashed a serious blow to the franchise: 3 death (2 on the first set of LOS blocks) and 2 serious injuries after, the Wasteland Loners was out the tournaments and bad shaped.
But the guys was known for their courage, and a couple months laters the Wasteland Loners was again out on the pitch for the new E.L.F. season.
Again (16 matches out of 46), they stand against a C-BOMB team, and the Loners felt that the DangerZone Worshippers had the smell of their death.
The doom blow was unforgiving, and the few guys still standing at the end of the match had to bring out of the pitches another 3 dead and 3 seriously injured comrades.
The Wasteland Loners was my first real team here on FUMBBL and I was really fond of them. Despite being elves, they stand with honour against the bashers of the Box and I think they deserve a blog post. I don't know if I will have the interest to rebuild them from scratch (I'm left with only 6 players, 2 of them MNG), but I will leave them on my team list, you never know.
In any case, I will not stop playing elves in the Box: the Tarot Arcana are already running and a new dark elf team will come!

why do u have 7 loners and 150k in the bank?
you could have bought 2 linemen, or 1 positional....

Give it a go, my Wood Elves in the box came back from having 8 Loners in the team! Where there's a Wardancer there's hope.

The only option I considered was to buy the missing blitzer. But given the high number of loners I will eventually field I don't want to miss the opportunity to hire the ones that score some SPP point.

Good call to save your cash. No sense in spending it when you can't be sure any of them will survive. I'm with Duke, though - definitely rebuild. Your team has an excellent core group still.
