An absolute trouncing
A harsh Lesson for my Brumbies today against Bolo90's Chaos Chosen Team "Evil Unbound"
I was lucky enough to Induce a Magical Codpiece prior to the match and quickly equipped it to Blitzer Tommy Cusack who wore it with pride, feeling indestructible!
The game started off spectacularly with the Brumbies pulling off a quick sideline dash putting Cusack into the endzone for the teams first TD.
Sadly the Ogre Allan Alaalatoa received a smashed hand for the gritty effort and was ruled out not just for the rest of the game, but the game after whilst he recovered.
On top of this game changing loss a few minor Injuries ruled out a couple of the Lineman for the rest of the game.
The Brumbies entered the next drive already 2 men down, but determined to put up a good defensive effort.... Unfortunately It just devolved into a Bloodbath from there of which only the likes of Khorne could be pleased.
The Brave boys from the highlands of Canberra put up their most courageous effort in an attempt to prevent a scoring drive but in doing so they incurred casualty after casualty only for the forces of Chaos to gleefully staunch their way into the endzone.
The next half the game was nigh on already decided with only 6 able bodied Brumbies ready to walk out onto the pitch.
Putting their bodies on the line the Brumbies managed to stall out for as long as they possibly could.
Tommy Cusack losing his life in the effort (Not to mention my first levelled player...sigh)
In the end the Chaos Chosen ran rampant over the Brumbies winning the match
The end result:
1-2

I want to thank Bolo90 for the match regardless of the result I take no ill will away from it, I'm honestly quite astounded with the sheer carnage incurred. A good victory for you, my friend.
I'm taking away a silver lining in the fact that I managed to at least score in my second competitive game ever, but it seems the Brumbies may be in for some dire straights for the future. I was a little more proactive when it came to my offence and it played out well for me, however briefly.
I even got a lucky blitz and put a solid amount of pressure on the ball during the second drive of the game.
Admittedly it didn't quite go well for the Brumbies, though I feel like I was in the right mind to at least give it a shot.
I've learned that maybe not going all in against Chaos Chosen with Human teams is probably the best choice, Humans are squishier than they seem and Chaos Blockers are scary as hell with all the strength 4, especially so when backed up by a rampaging Minotaur (that embarrassingly scored the winning touchdown... Yep, I kicked badly and I don't want to talk about it)
I seemed to have made the mistake of thinking my respectable Armour 8 could hold and based my pieces/players far more than I probably should have.
Oh how wrong I was, perhaps a bit of defensive restraint was in order.
Shoulda Coulda Woulda as they say though and I'm glad I've learned something today.
All in all it was a great match and I'm terrifically impressed with the destructive capabilities of Chaos Chosen Teams.
Looking to the future things do seem a little dark for the Brumbies next game as I could only afford to replace my lost blitzer and now have to rely on a journeyman which puts the team a little bit on the backfoot.
In any case I'm looking forward to enjoying many more matches and slowly improving as I still have so much to learn!
Until next time, this has been the Pit-Midget!
Cheerio!

QUICK NOTE:
I write these directly after my matches and so I don't remember everything as clearly as I should due to memory being an inherently faulty guide. Take that into consideration if you decide to watch the match itself, things do differ but the general gist is about right, this is just for funsies after all.
