E.L.F.-ing my way around again
My Qvickfåte Ballpassers has been inactive for quite the while while being memebers of the E.L.F. league, a league they joined way back in its second season. The Ballpassers are my oldest team (going back to before there was Team Strength) and I noticed when reactivating the team for the ELF again that it had been over a year since I last played.

However after playing a bit with Orcs and Dwarves and Halflings for the most part. While still retaining my love for the ballpassing aspect (my Orcs have two Throwers. And try to have two throwers at all times. My dwarves also try to have two runners at all times).

It's been slightly frustrating to try to pass the ball when the guys passing really have very little competence in that aspect. So I've returned the Ballpassers into active duty and boy is it fun to throw the ball around. When wood elves have an 11-man team on the field it's almost impossible not to score. However I've been trying to stall and select who gets to score at most chances. When I have two uberwardancers the opponents tend to focus on them (as they are the safe-scorers when I really can't afford to miss). With those two running around disrupting enemy lines I tend to get one or two slightly unskilled lineleves into play to get the Star Player Points they deserve.

I still have a fairly low TD-ratio though because I stall fairly much with my elves. Trying to make 1-0 in turn 5 or 6 to make the opponent have a chance of scoring a tie but having to be a bit rushed about it and so perhaps neglecting a piece of defense to make a wardancer do a 2-0 before the half-time whistle. If I scored at turn 7 or 8 the opponent would only focus on killing off my players for the second half and I don't really want that because that means I have no way of fielding that unbeatable 11 man team in the second half 8^)

My Ballpassers haven't denied an offer yet but that doesn't mean I won't if you come with something outrageous, but just because you have a couple of DPs and some Claw/RSC beastmen that isn't a guarantee I will refuse. This is ELF after all.

So this was my first blog post. With a bit of Woodie wisdom (that most woodie players probably know already).
