1 year anniversary!
So my one year FUMBBL anniversary has come and gone. In my first year I managed to play exactly 500 games and have a 50% winning percentage.

My first year had no great achievements but I did make some SMACK finals and won a few 145 Club and OCCS tournaments.

My coaching style has certainly evolved over the year, going from never fouling and scoring as early as possible to fouling several times a game and employing stall tactics as much as possible.

I have realized that I enjoy 'fluffing' up my teams with elaborate bios and player pics and was quite distraught when some of my handiwork was dismantled by the public gallery purge.

League remains my favorite place to play games, though playing in Blackbox has been fun too. Unfortunately, due to my geographical location (West Coast of Canada) I am always online at the slowest time of day for box activations.

My least favorite things about the fumbbl experience so far include failed aging rolls (especially on pro elves playing in Blackbox), dice rapes that go either way (when the dice make it completely impossible for a player to compete no matter what they do), ridiculous cherry picking on gamefinder and the refusal of even, fair game offers, the 8-9 hour time difference between myself and the majority of fumbbl users and the few unpleasant coaches I've encountered.

All in all though it has been a great year, a lot of fun, and a learning experience. Thank you to all of you who have lended assistance and advice along the way, and to the rest of you who played against me.

In my 2nd year I will likely play a little less often as I have some personal goals I want to achieve but that is not to say that I will be absent. I would like to increase my win percentage (can't seem to get above 50% for very long) and achieve a CR of 160 in the new year and maybe join a few major tournaments - though I find scheduling play times fairly difficult due to the time difference.

I might try to get the Player Awards for all the teams in my 2nd year as well.

See you on the pitch, or at least in IRC chat!

Cheers and thanks for a great year.

Was glad to be apart of the experience. I know I've enjoyed the games we've had...huh, just three? I could've sworn we had squared off more times than that.

Congrats on your first year. My own is coming up very shortly. I look forward to playing against you again. I wish you much success against other coaches, just not against me :)
