FUMBBL "veteran": forgetting how to win?
In my first blog, I mentioned how I thought the evil FUMBBL RNG was trying to lure me in. And to be honest, it worked.
I played my second game as slann, a team I'd never used before, and also won - so was proudly sat on a 100% record. Which didn't last too long...
I have since racked up 10 game in the Box with the froggies, and although I was enjoying them a lot I figured I'd try out some other teams. Which has mostly seen me play ogres. In hindsight, the 6-ogre, 5-snot, 0-reroll build is probably not the easiest to go with... at least, that can be what I blame my 0/1/7 record on.
I've played a small handful of games with other teams, with varying success, but realised last night I've had 11 games without a win... even worse, I can't even string together 5 defeats in a row to pick up an award! I guess I'll have to try harder. It doesn't look like my TV600 halfling team are ever going to get a match in blackbox so I'll have to keep using the ogres, and unfortunately they're starting to get skills (and an AG4 snotling) and I almost managed to pull off another draw last night...
One thing I don't completely understand... my coach rank has me down as veteran. Is it because I've played 26 games (sounds like a small number to be counted as a veteran), or is it my amazing CR of 149 (which has plummeted recently for some reason!)... or does the FUMBBL hive-mind know that I've played 200+ games elsewhere?

veteran is to do with your CR.
Ogres - The fact your drew a game at all is something of an achievement. They are so so terrible now it is just a waste of time playing them really. So don't beat your self up :D
Oh and dont worry, I'm sure you will get your losing streak award one day ;)

ogres, esp zero RR ogres, are terrible.

Ogres are now by far the worst race in Bloodbowl. Losing with them doesn't really say much about your ability as a coach.

I actually think zero RR Ogres are the best build but they are still the worst team in BB by a mile!

the new BBB tournaments guarantee games to the smallest teams, your flings could start off there.

I think both 5-6 1 rr or 6-5 no rr are viable builds, just as everybody is saying, it's a terrible roster now.

CR starts at 150. As it can go either up or down from there, the starting value has to be picked as some middle ground in the skill hierarchy. Hence 'veteran'.
