CPOMB dilemma?
It's the crown of sand coming up in February, which is a Blackbox tournament.
I'd quite like to play and do well, and normally I avoid playing CPOMB chaos dwarves. However, I imagine this is the only way I have a chance of getting through round 1. Historically I have tried to be a bit original and have entered flings etc.
So, fummblers, will you think less of me if I pile in with CDs? Or should i stick to my principles and enter with my high elves?

If you enter with CD and still lose then you have the worst of all possible worlds. :D
Then again, you don't actually have any clawpomb on them and none of your other teams stands as much chance as the CD. So it's either that or rookie gobbos or something. ;)

Play as you wish! Plus, if it's the only Cdorf team on your page, then there's way worse things in the box! (And most likely also in the tourney)

Bringing your most prepared team is probably the best tactical decision. But think of how much fun it would be to make it out of the first round with rookie goblins/flings?

couldn't you just get piling on on all your high elves? their extra AV would make vengeance stomps hurt a bit less.

Plenty of people winning tournament games, even whole tournaments, without PO mutants. If this is the excuse you want to make, have at it, but it's not like those teams are any more viable on a game-by-game basis than a dozen other things.

Stop bitching and moaning about your morality issues with CPOMB, it is, frankly, boring.
Let me remind you of what I call reality.
Chaos Dorfs have a built in excuse to CPOMB...you need to actually roll a double to get Claw. Use that to your advantage, as a badge of honor. That you sir, only CPOMB on doubles and thus...are a pure CPOMB killer!!! Unlike all those other teams who CPOMB up on normal rolls...which we both know is, lame.
So CPOMB up and have no morality issues with it.

Hmmm - I am a terrible chorf coach despite many attempts but movement 4 cpomber surely isnt going to be great in a cpomb war against chaos is it?

I haven't decided quite what to enter, but the plan is to try again with ogres sometime this year! I learned something from the last go round about the best roster for this kind of thing. :D
