Warpstone & Pixelhugging
I've had HUGE fun specing the warpstone lately. The roar of the 100+ crowd, the pithy armchair quarterback remarks, and the high level of competition is quite a rush. Kudos to the tournament staff for all the effort required to keep it running smoothly.

Ditto for all the preparatory effort coaches made to get their teams ready. I'm sure a lot of careful team building decisions need to be made in order to get a team Warpstone ready. Farming and growing players, balancing skills, husbanding resources, choosing matches carefully... oops. Pixelhugging! Teh Bad!

I think what we have here is a clash of two fundamentally irreconcilable objectives. (1) The ultra-competitive Major and its associated prep games; (2) Ultra-competitive one-off matches. When a coach seeking (2) meets a coach seeking (1) is when cries of Cherrypicking can arise.

Some coaches feel they need to pursue both simultaneously; kudos to them. But I think it's fine to pursue (1) only or (2) only.

So hug a pixel today... he may be the next Warpstone MVP!

Im having a go at the WO.

You can pursue type 2 AND get to majors.

"associated prep games" are the bad words here.

I'm with you on the spectating the matches. Wish I could chat, but it's loads of fun. Just makes me smile thinking about the "/hurt" being typed in around the world when a 9AV killing machine falls down RIP'd, and then the Apoth rolls one:) I'm a player lover when it comes to my teams, but if I'm watching a game...I wanna see blood
