New regen rules to come in line with new apothecary
Back in LRB4, apothecary and regen were very similar. Now in CRP people think that the apothecary is worse, and other skills like dauntless, tents, shadowing had been changed for some reason or another.

Regen stays the same however, somewhat boosting, in my opinion, the teams that have it vs those that have to rely on apothecary.

I have come up with a new house rule for regeneration.

When a player with regeneration is injured, roll twice on the casualty table instead of once, choose which result to apply to the player. If both results are Badly Hurt, then move the player into the reserves box.

I think this is a fair trade off, players are less likely to take long term damage, but also less likely to stay in the game when you finally do injure them.

Igor inducements would allow a player to be put into the reserve box if only one result was a Badly Hurt.

Player with both decay and regeneration would roll three injuries and apply two of their choice, however they would need all three injury results to be Badly Hurt in order to be moved to the reserve box.

I like your suggestion, except I don't like how it makes regen + decay very bad.

Decay is bad no matter how you throw it around, though I personally think my version of it keeps decay players alive for longer than the current rules do.

Regen is completely over-rated. You have to pay TV on every single person on the pitch that has it, and yet the majority of the team will either not use it or not be successful when they do in the course of a game.

Take for example the difference between a human linesman and a zombie. +2 ma +1 ag but no regen for only 10k extra, put into perspective a zombie would be worth 70k more to get to where a human linesman is. That is the equivalant of making regen cost 60k.

It would be good if you could choose which players to have it and reduce the cost of the ones that don't.

Sorry for the double post.

But also it is not like the regen based teams are now ripping up the table. Also regen is still worse than an apoth. sure it has a 50/50 chance of bringing a player back into a game, but a player getting killed has more chance of surviving if an apoth looks after him rather than regen, even with igor helping.

Or.......bring back lrb 4 apo. Did anyone ever complain about the lrb 4 apo being broken?

I don't see any reason to make vamps, necro, undeads or khemri any worse than they already are. Regen might be better than apo, but races who use regen aren't too good. No need to "fix" anything imo.

The only broken part of the LRB4 Apo was that the treated player stays on the pitch. Remove that part, and it was perfect.

Yes, bring back 2+ LRB4 Apothecary, removing the part that the healed player stays on the pitch (except for KO players, of course, they can stay on the pitch).

A player has a higher survival with my new regen, just a lower chance to stay in the game than current regen, I think it improves the longterm survivability of regen teams while lowering the aspect of them having players that regen 2-4 times a game.

It increases the survivability of one player by removing him from pitch once he gets injured. As a whole, this would lead to team having less players on field, being outnumbered, being blocked more, thus suffering even more cas. And also your chance of winning would be dramatically lessened.

As a guy who plays regen teams a lot, very strong no-no from me.
This would make it nearly impossible to win games with khemri. It's a race that needs the players on pitch. With low MA positioning is essential, and if you don't have players on field, it's simple task to tie up your TGs and hurt the rest for easy win.
