A bit more Blood Bowl for me
So I'm possibly back into the addiction that is FUMBBL. The last time I played a bit more was in March 2010. Though I did make a brief visit in January just before Blackbox was going into LRB6 (or CRP or FFB or whatever it might be called).

I was excited about the move then. Thinking "man new ruleset, this is going to be awesome". Now I haven't played tabletop in a while and I really haven't played any rules that haven't been on FUMBBL for a really long while. (whenever we play standalone tabletop games we just go with 3rd ed the rules out of the box)

So I fluked out. A little bit. I didn't dare try out the new client. It seemed scary compared to my old tried and trusted javabowl.

So this week the topic of Blood Bowl came up on an IRC-channel and I thought "hmm, I should check back on FUMBBL" when I did there was a new skin (I had previously used the old v3) and on the front page was a podcast interview with Christer.

Those two things combined made me want to jump right back into FUMBBL. After a bit of a shaky start the FFB client isn't at all scary and a lot easier to work out than the old javabowl client. Everything seems a lot more usefriendly (I mean dice roll targets everywhere!) and basically I'm loving it.

The problem if how I'll be able to limit my addiction. Often I go into FUMBBL play games like crazy (like I did on Friday, six games or so in one day I think) and then almost as quickly burn out. I should somehow limit myself I think.

A couple of blogposts away in my blog I write about the last time I "came back". Back then nothing had really changed. This time it seems like quite a bit has changed. Blackbox is insanely more popular than Ranked. The rulesets have changed. The only thing staying the same is the people complaining about bad luck :D

But if no one complained about bad luck how would you know when good luck happened to you?
