Max was a crowd favourite, popularly known as Mighty Max.
Nothing epitomised his over-ambitious yet spectacular play more than his final moments. With half-time approaching, he burst back to take down an opposing orc blitzer who was through on goal, injuring the orc in the process. Still, not content with saving a touchdown or injuring his opponent, he raced for the ball which had settled by the touchline. He dropped it and a disgruntled teammate of Max's victim nonchalantly shoved Max into the crowd. If only he'd fallen into the Chainsaw section of the stand, he might have escaped with only the loss of a limb.
