Renowned in the Southern Wastes as one of the most caring, kind and gentle teams to grace the League, the Singed Poor Scoundrels have for a long time run a high-end medical scheme for all their players. As well as a physician with an enormous syringe of green fluid who stands by the sidelines, a 'magic' sponge and a succession of novelty hats, the team have sworn to never sack a player for suffering injuries during the game.

However, after a few seasons some players have begun to request a rest; whether it's to retire to concentrate on their topiary business (Avo Smash Toastyflake), the pain of a damaged back was too much to bear (Girlshape Grumbleflick), or 'because want more money' as the delightful Ladyshape put it, it became clear there was a need to release those players back to the non-sporting world.

Still, it's hard for some of them to let go of the glories of Nuffle. What better thing for them, than to be accomodated in the Singed Poor Scoundrels Rest Home, and have a few gentle matches to warm down?
