I think you get the most "value" out of Leader. For 10 TV, you gain a skill that is the equivalent of a 60TV (?) re roll. I would take it first. Even if the player dies mid match, you are sure to get at least one reroll out of him.

In regular Blood Bowl, part of the cost of a reroll is that it can't be killed, so you are sure to have it next game. For the rules you are using however, the same can be said of a
player with the Leader skill.

After that, Block on the Gutter Runners is obvious, followed by Guard on the Storm Vermin.

I would suggest Dauntless on one of the gutters.

Apart from that. A guard Vermin, Leader Thrower, Wrestle Gutter (or Linerat), maybe even a tackle Vermin, depending on the teams you will be facing.

As it is, I was second in the overall rankings in the open league, but haven't qualified because of some weird calculation they seem to use for who goes through.

TV will not matter at all since all players will be at the same TV all the time. But you are right about Leader. But it is better than Guard, Tackle, Frenzy, Kick, Blodge or Wrestle.

Whats the Wrestle + Dodge of Blodge? Wrodge? Wredge?

Yes, I asked them.

Seems the February games are calculated somewhere unseen and the overall ranking is worthless from a qualifying point of view.

It also seems only 9 places were awarded to the Public league and the other 23 all got given to the private leagues.

So 27-1-0 is worse than 18-0-0? It is a weird system they got...

I got awarded even tough I didnt win my qualifier but finished 2nd.

Seems half of my games were played in January and half in February, so taking my February record only gives me 12-0-0 or something.

So, the overall ranking page is not the thing to go by ... of course, the actual February only stats cannot been seen anywhere, so no-one knows where they stand.

Dauntless Gutter, Guard and Frenzy for the Vermins. That is a line up that was pretty useful to me in tournaments. If you get a double, a two heads gutter can be nice too, or guard on a gutter which would be very powerful together with the dauntless gutter.

Apart from that kick, strip ball and side step are always good choices. Though i would give kick to a gutter runner instead of a lino. The lino will go to the line sooner or later or might die when doing his duty of protecting the gutters.

Forgot to mention that you get 1 skill after every game.No doubles or stats.
How about MB, is it useless?

Also what skill to take as first skill vs bash or vs dodgy teams?
Guard, frenzy, dauntless and Blodge/Wredge is never wrong.

I prefer frenzy over tackle. Both have about the same chance to knock down blodgers (yeah i know not exactly, but close) and it gives additional field control and helps against any opponent.

Some people go with a lot of MB, like having the RO and MB Vermins. I don't like that route that much because it relies heavily on your av and inj dice.But in the end the choices come down to personal taste and play style.
