are you on a mobile internet connection (UMTS or something like that)? some times ago a few coaches had the same issues with that kind of connections. There should be something in the forums about it

Most likely, you have a problem with Java Web Start. Make sure JNLP files are opened with javaws.exe

Whenever i go into tools/options/applications/jnlp and change it to javaws.exe, I press okay, but i get the same error message when launching and when I go back into the tools file it defaults back to "Use Java Web Start Launcher".

Ok, Start->run->javaws.exe
In the application that opens up, make sure old versions of Java are not enabled.
