You show me any team (orc, elf, high elf, amazon, norse, human) that runs 2 throwers/runners? Doesn't happen. I run a full team except Runners; always. And if you look, I build all my Dwarf teams UP. I do not hold low in TV. I am not hording cash, I just have nothing to spend it on at the moment. I was going to buy another reroll but now I have to but 2 new Linos so I will hold out a game.

Seriously....my team was beat down its first few games and we have now 13 games. At 12 games we had the same TV as a team that had played 82.

Just because everybody else is using 1 runner doesn't mean everybody isn't minmaxing. It's what it is, Blackbox.

He had 12 players, you had 11, you both had cash. And like you he was skilling all his Dwarfs and positionals. He just didn't see the point in skilling the hobgoblins with G access and av7 (just like everybody else).

He also didn't have a leader carry (probably not by design mind). Leader as a skill take on a positional is about as minmax mentality as you can get.

You have plenty to spend on if you wanted to; you have just decided the cost in TV isn't worth the added power it will give you. This my friend is minmaxing. Your problem with him is that you faced a minmaxing CPOMB team, with a team that copes badly against claw.

I try to run all the positionals I can afford, usually. I also try not to complain about teams using the strategies that those teams are designed to have available to them.

There is a difference between Runners and Throwers. Runners typically bring something to the team they are lacking (higher MA, higher AG and/or skill access). Throwers are almost always a more expensive lineman (i.e. identical stats with orcs being a notable exception) with 1 or 2 skills. I like having 2 Runners on teams that use them, as early as I can afford them. I rarely take a 2nd thrower because the extra TV is usually not worth it over a lineman, though there are exceptions.

First and foremost grats on beating the stack to a pulp in this match! Thats normally a thing to be celebrated and to feel some righteous satisfaction about i would say.

Uhm yeah, and quite a lot of teams run 2 runners. But i dont think you should have to defend yourself - not for the min/ max accusation at least.

You still play the underhanded team vs. the stack in CRP environment. So coaches playing even min maxed stack teams, calling you a min maxer are using pretty one sided reasoning at least...

I myself have played with the thought of dropping the 3 x AV8 with dorfs long before i heard of any fumbbl min max debates. It just sucks to have those weak spots and immobile frenzy players, especially if your not doing well with frenzy overall. And of course dwarfs dont need a second runner anyway.
Honestly, obviously the two dont even play in one league. Not even close. And comparing the two just because your post may have been a bit, lets call it - inconsiderate altogether - is as well just very bad reasoning ofc.

However, you certainly provoked those desperate defensive arguments and got it coming. There is just no sense in complaining. Box aint going to change for you. What's your point? Suck it up or leave (a good rant, like 3-4 times a year serves a healthy condition ofc ;).

I may agree on very little you posted so far, but on the other side your sociable and outspoken and those coaches can normally add something to the site for the sheer reason they dont stay quite and get active.

If you stick around less whine and complains pls (pls dear lord, i beg ya dearly hear my lament... ;) but more cheerful celebration of results like this.

My main reason to rant is because of the inherent problem there is with the CRaP system. Come on, I was playing a team with 12 games, I should not have to deal with a few clawpombers and one ballhandler in a team that has played 82 games. I always want to win and I think most do but games like that suck the fun right out very quickly if it takes a turn for the worse.

I rant, yes. You guys can give me a 1 or whatever....just getting some things off my chest! :-)

He had 2 cpombers, and has not retired any healthy players, as far as I can see. Looks like he also had another Bull until recently. Don't think it's really bad min max, imo
