100th Game
Well I've been here for 100 games now, and I thought I'd celebrate by writing a self-absorbed blog post about what I've liked and what I haven't so far.

Things I've liked:
1) BB7s. I've really enjoyed playing 7s, although I can't keep up (in terms of games played) with some of the more enthusiastic coaches! The best community I've found on here, along with fun and quick games. More than anything else, I really think playing with no rerolls and only 7 players has taught me a lot about blood bowl.

2) Stunty. I don't play as much as I should, but I love the stress-free carnage of stunty. Mind you, its taught me basically nothing about real blood bowl (except the dangers of diving tackle).

3) ELF (and similar meta-groups). I've only played ELF for 4 games now, but its good fun, and it encourages you to play anyone and everyone. I think my DE will always be in recovery mode, but maybe thats what it feels like when you've had a rough game or two.

Things I don't like:
1) People complaining about the dice. I just can't stand it. We've all had unlucky games, and I try to keep my frustration to my side of the computer. I don't understand why people who consistently complain about their dice keep playing. Its partly a game of luck - if you don't like it, try chess.

2) How bad I am at it. I seem to have a fairly good record with new teams (up to about their 4th/5th game), but then I suck. But I guess that just means I should keep playing.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who has kept me here for 100 games - see you at 200!

Good luck on your next 100. If you are ever in the Box i hope to play you.

Good to see you don't like complaining about the dice... I would say that's the number one thing keeping bad coaches from being good and keeping good coaches from being great. Nuffle will hose you, but will reward you as well. Make your own luck!

Keep having fun!

Grats on the milestone.

Success at low TR is often a function of the coaches you play against. While top coaches can have new teams too, many coaches never seem to get a team past 150 or so without them being decimated or retired in frustration, plus you have brand new coaches who haven't played enough to get a team any higher.

Once you reach the middle ground of 150-200, you're getting a wider cross-section of coaches, and once you're above TR 200, the majority of coaches are at least solidly experienced, if not expert.

Don't let the tougher games get you down. You'll learn more by playing coaches better than you (or at least, that's what I like to tell _other_ people) ;)

Box is also a nice place to learn. No picking, no easy breaks.

Cheers guys for the positive comments. I managed to get a CR of over 150 for the first time this evening, which seems like a nice way to celebrate the landmark.

maysrill - I'm sure you're right. I rarely stick with a team past 150, and I'm sure others don't either. I am going to try though, cos I think you can learn a lot from it.
