Contemplating lowering the number of teams I'm currently playing.
I'm not going to get a team really high up in TV if I keep spreading the love across all the teams I'm trying out.

So should I concentrate on one or three teams (at different TV levels) in the box or should I just keep doing what I'm doing maximizing my chances of getting a game in?

Depends what you enjoy.

Personally, I always pick one team, play it till I get bored, then move onto the next team.

I normally focus on about 3 teams at a time - each time one loses, I shelf it for a day or two in disgust.

I keep entering the box with all my teams. Then I get some random match up against Chaos. Sigh.

Interesting topic.
I do the same as Hitonagashi. I could see the possibility for me to play two teams at the same time but no more.
Really a matter of preference though.

Indeed.

I find it a nice challenge to see how high TV I can bring a team in box - currently I think the limit in normal play is somewhere around 2300k, after that there are no pairs.

I have been entertaining a thought to run a wide spread of teams so that I would have a team for every possible TV range. That should reduce my possibility to be unpaired.

Still, I find that low TV games are easier to one's head: has to think less, can play more relaxedly and faster. If I am tired, I generally don't activate my high TV teams.

Technically, only about 1/3 of box matches should be clawpomber matches...

if you do just go one team just be careful that the tactics dont bleed out to other teams you may use later that just cant do the same thing. i always try to put all my teams in the box. If im lacking in CR ill just not throw in my stunty teams. feels great playing a different playstyle each game and i think it made me a much better coach. i have gotten a few teams over 1700TV but then i usually meet some clawpomb or just get cassed to hell.

I think it comes down to how often you play. It's quite possible to run several teams and see them progress, but if you don't play that often then focusing on one team is the way to go.
