First match for day 8 as Undead Gravecity Nuffleboppers encounter Halfings with BACON. Flings receive and TTM for the score in turn 6. The undead equalise in turn 12. Flings TTM again next turn, but stuff the landing. A ghoul swoops on the loose ball and makes a break for the other end of the field; a last gasp flying fling blitz stops the turn 16 score. The game goes into OT, but finally all of the flings are removed from the pitch, leaving one tree and Deeproot to try and hold off the undead horde. Nuffleboppers' dual ghouls nonchalantly play catch on their way to cross the line in turn 22 for the win.

A 3rd round game as Skaven Flachpfeifens 4th try meet Dark Elves Comando Picaro. The rats have a wizard among other inducements and steal the ball for 1-0 at half time to put themselves in the driving seat. In a great 2nd half with plenty of blood, Picaro fight back and steal to set up overtime, and win the toss and the game. Despite it raining, the dark elf coach complained his witch failed to pass the ball at the end, but really he should be thanking his lucky stars that his desired instruction wasn't able to play and fail - Major games are no time to be farming SPP.

Another early 3rd rounder and it's Necromantic Hatarna against Nurgle Nurkulan Mukulat and their tentacle laden warriors. It's 1-1 in the 2nd half, Hatarna are on offense. The occasion gets the better of them, the wolf with the ball runs clear in the hope that the pestigor sweeper - claw, mb, tackle - will be unable to bring it down. It is badly hurt in the hit and the beginning of the end.

It's the biggest inducement haul of the FCXII so far as Dwarves Agility Monsters outweigh Human side [LBBO] Pirates du Reik by 1340TV. Despite Morg and Zug taking to the field, the Pirates come up short on their own offense and the Monsters take the lead. In the 2nd half the dwarves play keepball as even Brumbas gets to run with it for a bit. Despite Morg's best efforts, there is little the humans can do. A lucky few fans get to take home some mementos as a blitzer is surfed and ripped to shreds.

Two teams hoping to be the first of their kind to raise a Major trophy is Human Red Corsair and Lizardmen C is for Cookie. A fun first half with casualties on both sides takes a surprising double twist the end of the 1st half. When legend skink Apojar IV is badly hurt the crowd are surprised the apothecary is unused. Then the lizards don't even try to score on their drive - rerolls aplenty - opting instead to foul. A brutal 2nd half sees more casualties on both sides - soon 11 out and the ball knocked down, but within scoring range for the humans when a saurus pile on sets up 1-0 for Red Corsair. With plenty of time on the clock, when the blitz on the skink hits skulls, it looks like overtime! However, ogre stands firm and the skink fails the dodge - and Cookie never get the ball back up off the floor.
