i think people mostly have an issue with waiting for 4+ minutes against a killstack team/coach.

Though for realsies people... give at least a 2 hour window to play any game. I have had games take wayyyyy longer cause i had to leave for something or they did. Life goes on.

Lorebass, I always hear 1.5 hours (though can't find it in the rules). Is 2 hours a new site standard that you're promoting as an admin, or is it your personal opinion as a coach?

I think 1.5 hours is a very long game.

I think the longest game I've played on here, plagued by disconnects, was 2:40. Still enjoyable though even if we were both ready for it to be over before the end :-)

Around 1 hour is all good. More than that, I'm not sure. I'm getting pissed if someone does 4+ mins turns with 6 players. I'm, most of the time, pointing out that I'm not afraid to time them out, at all. :D

That is just ridiculous. And I am a fairly slow player myself. ;)

If you had to set aside two hours a lot of people wouldn't play at all.

From a ranked point of view speed is part of picking a game.
If someone is expected to be very slow they may find it harder to get a game. Unless they are a very juicy cherry. ;)
If someone has a rep for whining about how slow people are, some people may avoid them too. ;)

Playing slow in general is just bad form. The 4 minute rule is for TT, where you have to roll dice, look up tables (unless you memorized them) and move miniatures.

4 minutes online is just awful, and anyone that takes that long should be ashamed of themselves.

In TT tournaments you often get allocated 2.5 hours a game. On FUMBBL I think 1.5 hr would be a little tight for a max. I think I typically see over 1hr15 at the end of match, 1hr30-45 isn't unusual if there have been a few TDs.
32 3minute turns would be 96 minutes, plus repeated setup time. So an hour and a half isn't particularly slow. If you have to leave before that you shouldn't play. Which is partly why some people don't play BB, it isn't a quick game. 2hrs is a fair rule. To keep under 1hr 15 you need 2 min turns (64 mins) plus some fairly quick setup. People seem to underestimate total time.

Official rule

"Don't start a game where there is a chance you won't be able to finish without your opponent knowing about it. Unless you state otherwise, you are expected to be able to play for 90 minutes."
