Ahh, the life of a loner.
Here we see the loner in his natural habitat. Notice how he is not allowed to participate in the bloodbowl fun of the other players. They don't let him hold the ball or do blitzes. His day to day life is comprised of standing in front of mummies and getting in the way of strong creatures with large claws.

Except you become a loner in a rat team. Your chance to die is even higher, but you may get the chance to shine when all others are dead.

loners are like interns.

you advertise a job about doing something exciting...

...and then you ask them to get you some coffee.

Loners are the ones with everything to prove. If they survive the touch of the Mummies, the last-ditch crazydodges when you're out of rerolls and want to try something stupid and the standing on the sidelines when you're just bored and want to see something go splat, they might actually end up doing something that catches your eye and earns them that desired spot in your team.

More than once I have hired a loner for Notable Performance In Game. Most lately, The Love for Three Orangutans used to be a Loner:

He skilled up and rolled a doubles. Welcome aboard, Love for Three Orangutans. :)
