Anti CLAWPOMB Team Progres
Time for a small update on how my Dwarf team Gray Beards is doing in the glamorous fight of fighting the feared CLAWPOMB!

Its doing great, but I have to be honest its not because its been beating up CLAWPOMB left and right, in fact I dont think its faced a "real" one yet, its been on cruse control around 150-160 TW, but I think ill soon boost it up to around 180-190 so that ill start to face some.

When I made my Dwarf team I decided to build it slow, so its been running with only 11 players trying to build up 11 fenders, atm I got 8 and I think that should be enough, but I would really like a dirtyplayer before I get in range of the really big fish.

So heads up, my small Dwarfs are comming to get you, very very soon ;)

Fend's a piece of crap.
Build up Guard + POMB and take the fight to them.

thx for the 1 rate blader ;) I dont agree about fend (strangely enough ;) )
its a great skill, and my Dwarfs have won some games they would have lost if they had "just" been MB guardplayers :)

Anyways, comment noted, but I am trying to fight fire with water and not with more fire ;) but if it turns out its an oil fire I might have to get something bigger ;)

As the rating only tells us the mean, overcompensation actually makes perfect sense.

I really think the anti-clawPOMB part of your team is having named the BZ "Tyrion Lannister". He's a great chief in battle for a dwarf :)

Anyhow, impressive success. And not only facing clawPOMBs ! I'm happy to be among the few not defeated teams.

I tried a similar theme with a box dorf team, but didn't stick with it long enough to play the "real" killers. Good luck with it, I also think fend is a very underrated skill.

Having faced this team with my Orcs I can verify the effectiveness of the fend guard combo (FARD?). It's influence on blocking follow up positioning and associated assists means a team with a strength advantage but no or limited guard can find itself forced to throw a bunch of 1D blocks.

I wouldn't describe it as anti clawpomb tactic, but it's different and diversity in the box is always a nice surprise.

hehe, I just noticed that the pombers are atually taking grab already to avoid fend. Claw+Grab = 4tv wasted, nice.

DMU rise again....I seriously doubt it, you can dress up dwarfs all you like, they still suck when stood against their LRB4 brothers....
