So let me confess, I got a coach to quit blood bowl (or at least he said so). The reason was that the game is too dicey (and our game was not even that dicey!).
So it got me thinking; how could we still have the blood bowl mechanic in a game, but without the dice?

Let me present the rules for Boring Bowl:
* Both teams have an 11 player team without skills.
* All players are same strength and MA 6 (AG and AV doesn't matter).
* You are allowed one successful dodge out of TZ per turn, all other dodges are failed (also dodges into other TZ), but armour is not broken.
* The ball is picked up automatically, but only if it is not in a TZ.
* All "2DB", or higher, are pows, but no amour is broken.
* All "1DB", of less, are skulls, but no armour is broken. Unless "1DB" on ballcarrier, then it is considered a pow.
* No passing or fouling, but hand overs are automatic unless if receiver is in TZ.
* The ball always bounces towards the centre of the board. If it lands on another player he catches it unless he/she's in a TZ, then it bounces one square more towards the centre.

Quarterback - the only player that can make a pass (x ammount of squares)
BLitzer - the only player that can "1DB"-pow.
