Winning or having fun
Is this indeed a blog or is it just becoming a responce to another blog, that indeed to might just be a responce to another blog. Hence making the writing of these blogs more of a forum rather than a place to express uncommented opinion of a subject of matter?

Well, never the less, as i was saying this is, well at least partly a responce to another blog by def909.

Truth is, he catches a point, but unfortunatly without hitting the nail on the head. (That is ofcourse just my opinion)

You see, both coaches should have fun, but fun is many things, for some its playing without fouling. However, his point of accepting fouling, is one that i have only recently come to accept and embrace. I have had the questionable pleasure of playing Paulhicks.

Enough of that, time long past.

My point is you should play YOUR team not the game. For me at least thats the most fun. F.eks. i dont foul often (i am beginning to use it for tactical reasons though)... Well unless i meet an opposite opponent.

Ex.

My dwarves meet any greenskin or chaos dwarf team, they will foul at my random will. That is not always often, but can be if the mood is on.

Also, cages are boring, so i tend to play a risky game of passing and sending my players down towards the endzone to make the pass. On the other hand i dont mind breaking up cages, becourse thats a lot of fun too.

I mostly like spetacular games, like the first time i saw a pushing of my own players to help him get his own player to the endzone in 1 turn. Now i often think of that, and try to learn (well, someday i hopefully will learn).

But my most important lesson is: If you are playing to win (and i always am (explaination later), dont mind getting your players killed. Instead worship and appriciate every injured or dead player you get, as long as it was in the sake of winning. (remember Paulhicks jumping on your player becourse he cant stop you from scoring is still for the sake of winning).

Finally (and then i shall bother you no more):

I play to have fun, but i have the most fun when i am winning.

Ohh, almost forgot a point.....

I could have gone up the text and put it in the right spot before adding the entry, but i guess true blogging requires that you do not edit your thoughts.....

The point: Playing the team.

You should consider a theme. I remember reading about one of the legendary teams (i think it was the reikland reavers), who was a mediocre team, for the one reason they always played fair (not fouling). One should respect the other player for playing his team, and for paulhicks that will always be dirty playing :-)
