And then they came for Russo...
No, this blog is not a kinky story about Russo's night life.

This blog is an appeal to Christer and the admin gang to reconsider some of their rules or rather that they reconsider the flexibility of their punishments. I'm not asking that specific temp-bans be overturned but I will use them as examples as how I want the system to change.

I also want to make it clear that none of the named subjects asked for me to write this blog. I wanted me to write this blog.

I think that the system should allow alot more flexibility, understanding, and reference to context. Especially when coaches have a long track record to refer to.

Some examples of where I believe that the system has been far too rigid:
- the McMagnus case, this is well documented elsewhere
- MymLaban's team... it got retired as a result of a different coaches actions, I believe that he has a nealy spotless track record (of over 3000 games) before that
- Russo has now been banned for 3 days for firing a cheerleader after starting a game. It wouldnt have changed the result in any possible positive way for Russo (as I'm sure his opponent will confirm). It was just Russo being a complete plonker, something which he has a reputation for anyway.
- a new player that I helped in academy, he said at the start that he had an old account but couldn't remember the password. I sent him to #fumbbladmin to try and explain and get one account closed, clearly he had no idea and he immediately went there when I informed him.... he got a seven day ban.

I'm sure there are more examples.

None of these are drastic cases where someone is perma-banned but they do interfere with the everyday running of FUMBBL (especially [L]) and players enjoyment of this great site. I dont want a huge heap of changes, I just want more understanding when the time comes and I've made a stupid mistake. I also want that for other people.

I hope this is read as a friendly request intended to improve the site.

I think that other people feel the same way as me but I really dont want a huge debate about specifics, I just want to raise awarness to the higher authorities. Therefore I have made this thread. There is no poll, I dont want it to be a mudslinging contest so I ask you, if you agree with my sentiments then post a simple reply, once:
"I am Russo"
(taken from sparticus but many people saying they are Russo will amuse me)

Thank you for reading.

edit: has tesi been banned now too? I dont know enough to know if its an example or not....(edit2: no he hasnt, i'm an idiot there)
