S.P.L.A.T. the Premier Stunty Meta-Group Starts July 12th
S.P.L.A.T. is an acronymn for the Stunty Professional Leeg and Tour. S.P.L.A.T. is a brand new meta-group designed to encourage diversity in the broader world of Stunty. All coachs with two qualifying* Stunty teams are welcome to join at any point during the season. S.P.L.A.T. allows you to play any Stunty opponent, at any time, and at any team value. Worried that you'll have a bad game? No need. If you have a bad game or two S.P.L.A.T. only counts your best five games for each team. If you think you've got what it takes to muscle your way to the top of the Stunty Leeg, join the inaugural S.P.L.A.T. season now! S.P.L.A.T. Season One begins on July 12th at 12:01 AM MST (8:01 Blood Bowl Time) and ends August 10th at 12:01 AM MST (8:01 Blood Bowl Time)

Complete rules can be found at the links above and any questions can be directed to me. We've already got quite a few teams ready to go and we'd love to have you!

I like the initiative. However: by basing yourself on your own (deliberately diverse) group, it will seem as if the rarer groups become more common. However, that will only be true for those actually entering the SPLAT. I think it would be better to base the common/uncommon on some measure of total [S]games played, or of total teams that played >3 games last month. I'm sure someone with html-fu could extract that data for you.

What the_Sage is saying sounds better indeed, as long as that wouldn't be too much work/hassle.

I'm running the group by hand, so that is not possible atm. Each season the Common and Uncommon groups will change based on participation. I don't expect a truely rare team to be common for more than one season at a time but we'll see as we go. Based on the teams we already have in the group, Skinks will likely be common for next season but without the +25% score for uncommon teams how many Skinks will we have in season 2? I guess we'll see.

With 2 months on, 1 off we'd likely keep to the same schedule as the Majors. I could always base the Common/Uncommon list off of the Major enrollment too. Or even a combined list (Major enrollment + previous season enrollment) or even a cumulative list.

Woodstock has said he'll attempt to help automate us after he's done with other projects but for now we're going to plug right along. If anyone else would like to volunteer work via automation, bbcode on group page, or art assets just contact me. If anyone would like to be a back-up Leeg manager just let me know too, that way we can continue on in the advent that I'm hit by a bus or a satellite falls on my head.

We're up to 11 coaches already and I believe season 1 will be a smash success!
