Wheel Of Chaos
This new (B)ox major has me thinking. The way that it is set out is superb (don't let it go to your head though PC ;) ).

I will of course be putting my necros into the battle, but do i go for Tzeentch for a tentacle golem, knowing full well that this will probably have the highest number of entrants, and therefore the least chance of winning?

Or mabye go for a shadowing ghoul from Slaanesh, afterall this is likely to be full of elves. But can my necros really stand a chance against fast teams?

Do i enter Khorne, the likely hunting ground for khemri and chaos teams wanting that frenzy? Do i really need another frenzy player considering how little guard a necro team has?

And finally of course there is Nurgle. An FA wolf would last just that little bit longer. but again i fancy this would be a strong group. I would envision dwarves being quite abundant here, as it is probably the only useful skill for them to recieve from the cup.

So yes i will enter but where should i lay my claim, and do i want to try for Champion by going in a less popular group, or favoured by going into a popular group and hoping that i am not one of the top TR teams which is quite likely?

The decision depends on your expected outcome. If you think you're a contender to win, choose the one with the prize you most want.

If you're just in to do well and eventually fail, choose the one where you predict the best matchup for your necros.

I'm also leaning toward Tzeentch just for the chance at a Tentacle tree.

I am thrilled to have caused tactical disscusions and thoughts.

One of the groups certainly isnt 'selling' well so far. I'd apply there were I you.

Hmm, two of the prizes are mutations, only available to certain rosters and only on doubles. Another is a doubles roll that many people like but often not over other doubles choices...

The last is a General skill, available to just about everyone, and rarely gets taken due to a ton of better options. (maybe I ought to apply there instead, for a chance at an easier ride)

On the other hand, maybe everyone is thinking like you are and that group will be overbooked...

Exactly, we could end up with no-one applying for the Tzeentch because it is seen as the most popular choice.

Well, of the options give, Tentacles is clearly the winner for any team with ST4 or greater players.

FA is OK but not generally a game-winner, and the other 2 are gettable for any team that wants em.

It sounds like a great tourney wish I had a good B team now. Tentacles is the obvious choice for nearly all teams, any big guy with Tentacles is a really good thing imo. But all are nice. Even giving FA to a ball carrying elf would be pretty nice despite being arguably the weakest of the skills.
