Yes because high ranking coaches do this all the time!

There are 2races that can make that combination, hardly an argument for going the box. You can still get matches in ranked with that combi.

Do you look at dp and laugh?
You should only fear dp in the hands of a master mind.

Do you want fair matches that are fun first skill building second?
Yes because all Bbox matches are fair. No big TR/TS dirrentcy at all. In R you can challenge for fair matches, in B you will be paired sometimes with big TR/TS dirrency.

i second melmoth. there's no real incentive to play box - trophies awards or prizes. that's why i'm bored of it atm. add the issues with playing your preferred team and the 0 RR stuff and it gets boring fast. BUT you can learn a lot and lose your fear of dorf and khemri teams. blackbox alpha should come to an end and at least beta should start.

I love the box, but this ongoing competition between the box & ranked is a bit daft. They both have their flaws. Enjoy them both!

I agree with Calcium. Just play what you enjoy. Trying to create this silly false 'we're better than you' thing is rubbish. I don't like [B], so I don't play there, but good luck to you guys that do.

If only I could just play [L], that would be massive win all around...

if ya dont like game finder then paly tournies. there are plenty of them now. box is ok but for me tournies are just the best way to play this game. anything goes in tournies and there is a high varity of them now.

When i play at board game with my friends, i can´t choose my oppo and we try, as a no-wrote rule, to make the max pain to the other team... and it´s sooo fun!!!
Box is the same w/o the destroy stuff so i love it... we had lot of good coaches and yes, there´s no awards, prices and such but i play for fun every 30 mins w/o looking for a game, just one handicap: the minimum coach limit, other than that i don´t find anything bad at B.

And could it not be that high CR coaches are better at choosen their matches, then picking?
There is a different there between choosen and picking.

yes blackbox is SUCH an enjoyable environment, that most of the people on fumbbl play in it.

wonder why that is? could it be because of the people that do play in it? and the attitude of the majority of coaches in the games they have?

well destroying my team may make you feel good. but it isn't going to be an incentive for me to keep playing.

yawn yet anotther B coach desperate for people to play. Maybe if you quit insulting the people who play R some of them would actually consider playing B. I am tired of the "Real coaches play B" or "what your afraid of random matchs" or " Ah you like to cherry pick" comments. Attitude is the biggest reason I dislike B and wont play there

[B] is a great idea. It really, really is. When it started i was overjoyed and played a fair few matches in quick order... after all, what is there not to love in a division all about coach skill in playing, as opposed to coach skill in cherry picking?

Then a few teabaggers discovered how to min/max.

A few more coaches cottoned onto this min/maxing, even setting up tribute teams...
The guys who wanted to test themselves against the best coaches, in as fair a matchup as was possible, stopped playing in [B]...

[B] lost it's appeal for me pretty quickly after that.

Exactly the same thing happens in [R], it's full of coaches that powergame and squeeze the last drop of beardiness out of the rules to their benefit...

But [B] is a poorer place without you in it for sure....

Also, @Calcium, the advantage of R is that you can avoid those coaches who powergame etc, whereas in B you are forced to play them. I enjoyed B, I'll probably play there again at some point, but I like being able to pick which races I want to play sometimes. So when I want to choose which of my teams to play, I stick to Ranked (which has been quite a lot recently).

Ah, but you can't pick the team that you are going to use. No so cool.

So, I'll keep one team in. When I feel like playing that one team as opposed to any of the other 30+ teams I have, I'll put it in the box.

If you prefer to play in other divisions, I wish you well. I understand that not being able to choose your team/opponent and lack of tournaments might be factors in your decision.

I fail to understand the anti-B propaganda that some coaches seem to persist with. It's like they played 4 matches in B, "heard" it was full of 0RR Khemri, and then chanted "B is Baaaaaad" from then on. Geez, give it a rest already.
