An early Xmas gift in a Black Box
So when I discovered FUMBBL, unlike a lot of rookies, I took the Help section warning about B seriously, and started playing in R. Then I soon discovered the joys of S, and eventually L. As I got to know the site, I saw all the complaining about the dirty minmax/clawPOMB/assorted B badness, and figured I'd made the right choice to avoid it.
Today, however, I reached my 500th game, so I figured what the heck, let's have a go. Now, maybe Nuffle likes round numbers, or he enjoys building up a rookie's hopes so that when they get destroyed the loss is that much more bitter, but he was definitely on my side. Not only did I win, it was also my first victory over a Legend coach (except one in S, which I guess a lot of people wouldn't really count).
Not a big deal for all you hardened Boxers I'm sure, but I'm pleased. And it's done as much for my CR as all the games I've played in the last month. I'm finally not a rookie no more, however briefly that might last. So yay me & hoody hoo!

Not only that, but you also managed to skill a bull and roll doubles in your first game. A good start, I'd say. =D

500 games in 6 months ! You sir are really too quick.
If you still have troubles to reach 155, the general strategy is :
- Secure the ball (moving 1 free player)
- Move all the player (free of any TZ)
- Roll 2dices block with block
- Blitz with 2dices (and block skill)
- Move your ball
- Block with the Big guy last
- Eventually dodge some ppl

How horrible some minmax teams can be in the Box, there are no cherrypicking. It's a good but hard place as it should be.

Well, I knew it wouldn't last. 16 games later, back to Rookie status. To be fair (or to make pathetic excuses, as you prefer), I'd probably be a little bit higher, but I've mostly been playing in L and S lately, and my R games have mostly been with an all-rotter team, which I'm really not good enough to be successful with. I reckon I know the basics you listed Panda, but need to work on positioning, and I should probably get over my dislike of skills that leave you prone (PO, Wrestle, DT) and stalling. I'll stall one turn against one turn teams, but if I'm in scoring position on Turn 3 or 4, I just score. I'd rather play properly than do that lame clicking through turns deal...
