I went to the Big WAAAGH GT or Hillbilly as was the original name this last weekend.
Saturday night they had a 3 round blood bowl tournament with sportsmanship and painting scoring added in.
There was 1 hour 45 minute time limit per game.

Oh, and not to mention free pizza and beer. Oh Yea, count me in on that action.

Anyway, round 1 I fought another skaven player and we finished our game. It was 1-1 on my last turn 8, and I had a linerat 10 spaces from the endzone. I thought he was only 9, so I screwed up and got the draw.

Round 2, was against a Human player who had the Ogre, 3 blitzers, thrower and some linemen. He was all about the fouling. It was a fantastic game and a huge amount of fun. Especially at the end when I drug his Ogre down and fouled him. In the middle of all this, my gutter runners ran circles around the humans and squeeked out a 3-0 win.

Finally in round 3, I fought another human team, almost identical to the first except with a catcher. This player really knew his stuff and kept me on my heels the whole game. It was 2-2 when the ref said finish this turn. My opponent was an awesome sport who finished his turn fast and told me to try for the TD, as all I had to do was make the 2+ dodge to run in for the TD. He had already blitzed him and failed to knock him down. I did and took the 3-2 win.

So with 2 wins and 1 draw, I felt pretty good with that finish. As it turned out no one went 3-0, and the only other 2-0-1 player was the one I tied in round 1.

I guess I had better soft scores, and pulled Best Overall at the tournament. Got a great looking plaque and a homemade pitch that includes the dugouts, score and time tracks built in. Really awesome looking.
