Crazy Elves Murdered on the Pitch - Mad Screamers shattered
This has been a tough match for the Screamers. Probably the hardest ever. The silent desperation that reigned on the locker room was unmatched, even in that far day when our legendary former JM Evander "Dorfkiller" Goldsnake had died (read previous blogs to find out moar).

The fallen Screamers were two of the greatest, by skills, screaming power and charisma. Today we salute the team Captain "Banshee" and super star catcher Chris Cornell.

Team Coach Uedder Street entered the post game press conference with tears in his eyes, devastated.
"We all know, when we enter the feild, that we may never see each other again - Street stated - It's the life of a Blood Bowl player, afterall. Yet when someone leaves us, we can't just pretend that we're fine with that. I... I just can't get their faces out of my head..."

Then followed a long, raging yet poignant scream. The last goodbye from Coach Street to his former players, and friends.

Street continued "I immediatly thought of giving up. The pain was just too big, I thought I'm gonna quit this job, quit this sport, retire in my mansion with my family and life will go on. Then I came back to the locker room, and there I remembered a letter that Banshee left me, to read at his team-mates, upon his death. And so I read it, something happened there, the whole team got moved, we all screamed together so loud we broke glasses. And when i finished the letter, I stared in my guys' eyes. They were filled with determination and fighting spirit, and so was I. Banshee had, once again with his last words, remembered us what it means to be a Screamer. And then I knew what I had to do: rebuild the team and win a Major, we all owe this to Banshee and Chris (and the several useless linos that died)"

Here's the aforementioned letter:
"Me wanted to play Blood Bowl. Me wanted to win a Major, playing on the greates team ever. And so I bacame a Screamer. If you read this it means I'm dead. This means that I should've played for a better team, to win something. But this doesn't matter now, for I'm dead. I just want you to know how much I hate all of you for letting me die on the pitch. You guys suck. Truly. Yours, Banshee."

Banshee was piled on by a Delf Blitzer. He just had turned 51 spps. He was apoed earlier in the game. Wrong choice in the end, as the second apo failed to save him.

Chris Cornell was stabbed to death, after his team-mate snaked a gfi, thus preventing him to dodge away from the dangerous assassin.

Our spirit died with them. Burned by the uttering pain. From the ashes it rose again, inspired by our captain's last words.
We lost a game and much more today, but our spirit will rise harder and stronger. For what is dead may never die.

Please learn to use [url=http://blah]the url tag[/url] for me.

Also the long word at the bottom creates a scrollbar that offends my inner OCD child.

Learned for you, sir. Edited the OP, thanks for showing me! It looks so much better now :D

The "last word" is not a word at all. It's a scream. For the fallen Screamers. Edited that one too, to avoid the scrollbar.

Post-match press conference of Coach Uedder Street after the match vs Nuffle can Suck it!

"I'm satisfied with my guys' reaction! That's the kind of fighting spirit I like to see after a bad game! It was a great performance against a good team led by a legendary coach, chapeau to my guys."

Q: What about the death of Eva Avarice, the vamp legend?

"That gives me mixed feelings. It's always kinda sad to see such a talented burlesque artist die. She was very good at blood bowl, too. I've been her fan for a long time now. Of course I'm glad she died by our boot, so we can claim her scalp for our collection."

Q: Now that Banshee is dead, who is going to be the team captain?

"I've been thinking about it. Even if we recruited a new "Banshee", he still needs to prove himself on the pitch. I know the fans are pushing to see Dexter Holland (mvp hog DP lino) be the captain, expecially after that boot on Eva. But I think Jamey Jasta (kick lino), the last original Screamer, should lead the team. After a lot of talk in the locker room, we've decided to hold a Screaming competition. The louder will be the new leader."

Q: What do you answer to those who claim that you can't keep your best players alive?

"I'm not a babysitter. I train them to win. That's all I care for. It's their own responsability to stay alive. I always try to save my players (no linos, I'm talking about players, not fodders!), but the apo tells it's hard to cure someone who's missing half his head. I'm no doctor so I just trust what he says. Now, with your permission, I have a Screaming competition to set up!".

Coach Street leaves the conference.
