Game Comments
I comment every game for alot of reasons. Sometimes, my opponent will comment as well. What I don't understand, is coaches insulting their opponent because they think they were especially lucky or not.

for example, this game http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=3132910

Where I apparently play the 'gayest' of races (orc, dwarf) and I should stop being a 'douche', and "u sir are the flithiest lucker iver every played"

I play dwarves--what ever the game system, my favorite race is dwarven. D&D, Bloodbowl, 40k (squats), WHFB, WHRP, If it's a game and dwarves can be chosen, I'm going to play dwarves.

In bloodbowl, dwarves are not the horrible team some people think they are--they are not boring to play or play against. But you do need to not play to their strengths--if you are not a bashing team, don't keep lining up and trying to out bash them, that's playing into their strengths. Exploit their weakness--speed (or lack their of) and agility (they don't have much). Not saying they aren't a good team, they are, but there are better teams out there, (and in a game like bloodbowl, there are going to be some teams better than others--unless every roster looks exactly the same).

Anyway, ranted too long...just don't really understand the attacks I sometimes get in comments, just because I got a few good rolls and/or my opponent got a few bad rolls..

Personally, I enjoy the comments, and was happy to see the ones regarding our match. They were very balanced and seemed to sum things up well. It is a shame he didn't rant and rave during your match, that alone is reason for the T16 gang foul.

Don't take it too hard, he was clearly frustrated. Read the blog he posted about it. I enjoy reading game comments, including yours. Keep them coming.

they're not boring to you....they're plenty boring to others...

but even with that being said, you should still play what you enjoy...

kudos to you

It took me a long time to branch out to the other races as I'm a die hard Dwarfs fan like you Xeterog. Dwarfs just appeal to my sensibilities, and for a LONG time Dwarfs were the only TT team I owned.

Finding FUMBBL however allowed my to broaden my game and play interesting races without having to shell out the cash to buy a whole 'nother team. Win win. But I still like Dwarfs and (having played against them many times) don't see what the fuss is about.

So just know haters will hate and poorsports will bitch (me too sometimes lol). Just play what you enjoy and keep those game comments coming!

remember Xeterog, in the fumbbl dictionary "boring" means "I can't take your players off faster than you can mine." People are just frusturated that you have high damage resistance, that's all.

I'll agree, dwarves can be exciting opponents.

oh, and another thing about the fumbbl dictionary.

"you got lucky" and "you won because of the dice" etc etc means "I thought I was cherrypicking you with your 140s coach rating and I still lost. That makes me mad."

when I was a 140s coach, I got that repeatedly from 160s coaches. hehe, sweet music : )

Dwarves like any race are person preference, I generally dont find them too hard to play again although I did when i first started. But just dont listen to anyone, Fumbbl is what YOU make of it. You can play with which ever team you like in which ever way you like - look at studman for instance, he does everything he can to try and hurt players that is his number 1 aim in games, after which he considers trying to score. Also some people just go cray when they lose, just ignore the likely hood is that person feels very silly now anyway :)

Usual stuff here mate....that coach will probably delete his post match report once he realises how much of a plank he comes across as!

As for dorfs, I hate them, but I love beating them!

Your opponent clearly doesn't have the temperament to play Underworld, especially not in the [B]ox. They're one of the squashiest races around, with or without their mutations.

Lol - just love your comments there Arktoris. Are you planning to publish this Fumbbl dictionary? :D

So what did midget honest and Ka-pow do to get lower taxes?
Posted by Xeterog on 2011-03-08 17:43:34
wow, didn't expect any response at all.

Like the dictionary terms...you should start a forum thread on that one,Arktoris ..it'd be fun.

Oh, and I'm an unashamed Dwarf player--no need to bolster me up on that one--I'm going to play dwarves. I'll play other teams as well (my skaven, for example), but will always have a dwarven team.

An frustration I understand very well. I've done some pretty stupid things after frustrating games and/or runs of bad luck
--retiring a Dwarven runner that was near the top of most stats at the time by mistake--but the mistake happened because of a horrible game and I wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing
--retiring a good skaven team in frustration after a bad run of games
--conceding too early and losing good players
--ranting and raving at the screen while playing (but no one but me sees that, fortunately :)

so, that I understand very well. The part I don't understand is insulting the opposing coach..in the game in question, we'd actually had pretty decent chat going on, at least I had thought so, which made the post game comments more surprising.
