Blogs, Game attitude , etc..
several things I want to cover now (I'm just 'talkative' sometimes I guess)

1) many people commented on my last blog post..but how did anyone even see it? I've looked and looked on the FUMBBL site and can't find a link to other peoples blogs without going to a specific coach profile and clicking on their blog.

2) Most of the time, when I have a bad game or three, I'm ranting and raging about the situation (usually to myself...tho sometimes I wonder if the neighbors can hear my screams and shouts).. but sometimes, I'm calm and collected..nothing seems to be bothering me (and no, I don't use drugs or alcohol--so that isn't what is keeping me calm).

For example, a game tonight vs an unpleasant player and team went very badly for me (http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=3134527). But I took it in stride and it didn't bother me at all. Why can I take that game like it's a pleasant stroll in the park, but in another game (http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=3132704) I get so fed up with the game, that I concede, losing a very good GR to retirement (http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=7805479) because of it.

I just wish my attitude was more often like it was tonight, than it has been in other 'bad' games.

3)I am at best an average blood bowl player. I know the rules very well--better than most, I think--but I am not a good on the pitch coach. See my record on FUMBBL..only about 45%..and with BBox games, it's...hmm.. 48%
(47/16/52), tho I do have a winning record with my 2 main teams (Skaven and Dwarves)--and my humans are on a 3-game winning streak (overall 5/0/7 with them)

hmm, where was I going with this..oh yea. Should I try to get in one of the tourneys? I won't win, but it might be fun. If so, I wonder which team would have a better chance at even getting in, my dwarves (http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=640751) or my skaven (http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=642182)

I don't think my orcs (http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=643784) are good enough to try, really..

leaning towards my skaven, as I think alot of bashing teams will be in the tourney and it might be 'fun' to try a team like skaven there :)

anyway..off to either play more games, or go to bed..haven't decided yet :)

Enter the tournaments, give it a try! I had too much respect somehow for a long time (same goes with Blackbox) and therefor didn't for a long time. When I finally tried one, it was real fun. Today playing tournaments is definitely one of my favorite things on FUMBBL! Didn't meet to many grim coaches their either, especially in the one or two majors where I tried my luck. Before tournaments were closed due to the migration process, I regularly participated in Scheduled Smacks - I enjoyed not having any influence on the matching process. Plus, there's always the chance to win a tourney, somehow. I didn't give up hope. ;-)

Ah, and for the record: I never came further than round two (if at all) and don't regret having applied in the first place. :-)

Play a few games with the Skaven team and go for it!

Try to get a team in one of the tourneys. I tried my first major some years back, and although I went down first round (Warpstone 07 I believe, wood elves) I learned a few things, from the match I played to the handful I spectated. I went from a very below average coach to an average coach very soon after that tourney. Might help you learn some new tactics

I'd say try the skaven. You seem to do well with them. And as you mentioned, there will probably be a lot of bashers so you should be able to score provided you can keep more than 4 players on the pitch :)

Was that a helpful comment from shadow? Whoah, what is the world coming to!?!
