Well the players would have to have proper names (i.e. not just a number) or it would break the site rules.
Dave Simpson #3 would be ok though.
I once experimented (on TT) with a system like this. Where one team moved their number 1, then the other team moved their number 1 etc. It worked quite well, but that was before turnovers. If I had a better system for marking moved players, it would have worked even better.
On FUMBBL........I think it would be like the choose a player and pick his style type teams. Too much effort and far too slow.

Well, the speed element is not so easy to judge.
you don't need to think about the sequence - makes it quicker
you usually start with shitty position - makes it longer
it is easier to force a turnovee by marking the opposing No1 - makes it quicker
I am not sure which will be stronger without testing, and I did not test it obviously.

"it is easier to force a turnovee by marking the opposing No1 - makes it quicker"
This adds an interesting element. It could make for interesting tactics or break the game. Certainly this will take some getting used to, also it will slow the game down a bit again, as you try to work out your turn to your opponents.
So putting DT, Tents or PT on early numbers of your opponent seems a massive tactic.

And of course player No1 may skip the action, and all other players may obliterate the rest of the field if such tactic is overextended. :)

HM, are the players not numbered on the player pic in the client anyway? and with the Label feature once you are set-up it is easy to label all the guys.
I love the idea but I have too many things on the go at the moment.

It would be a different game. Probably not as good as original Blood Bowl but I guess if you're really bored of original Blood Bowl and BB7 and Stunty Leeg and silly themed teams then it might be something you could try. ;)

Sounds interesting, I'd love to try it if I had the time (which I don't). Good luck with it! :-)

Yes, I guess player labelling would make it easier.

Reserves would then also be played in order, I take it? Could be an interesting league. What would the penalty be for screwing it up?

Penalty may range between matchloss and headloss. :)

I like the idea. It's a whole different game. Positioning guards for blocks becomes huge. hypnogaze becomes WAY better, and bloodlust WAY worse. =)
