Conspiracy Revealed?
Many years ago, I had once been banned for multiple accounts. I did not have multiple accounts. My brother, 2 other friends and I had all signed up at the same time, on the same computer. Mika_Freak somehow saw that we had the same IP addresses, and banned 3 of us. We had to go a prove that we were all different people. It was proven and we all still have accounts. The added bonus was that my brother osirus11 and I lived together and had been trading off on the same computer. I can see how that looked. It took a ton of convincing. We never got an apology from Angie for the mistake. I also never had or will ever have multiple accounts. Mistake forgotten about until now.

Heres the point, If I find evidence of a popular someone on here, who possibly may have 2-3 accounts, what should I do? Should I care if they have this even if the site rules are being broken? It doesn't ruin my fun at all. I couldn't care less, but since I don't break big site rules, no one else should either. Hint: People shouldn't be able to swap characters like its a wrestling company.

I started off another blog revealing the suspected person with that info. I stopped, because naming and shaming people on here is prohibited. What would you guys do? He is somewhat popular of a guy. Who would you talk to if you decided to blow this persons cover?

1. The rules clearly state you may only have 1 account, and everybody has agreed to have read these rules and agree to abide by them at least once. So if you do anything that may be deemed as a multi account, it's up to you to clear it with staff first, rather than test the water and staff then approach you about the matter.

2. If you believe anyone has a multi account send a ticket. The current staff are very experienced and can usually tidy that up within hours either way.

the same thing happened to me. I play around 75%-85% of my games at work. I work in tech support. A guy i worked with seen playing ALL the time and started asking me questions. He made a profile at work and we both got banned cause he tried to spec my game. The admins in the irc cleared it up fast, but it did suck having to convince someone over the internet that my friend and i were two different people.

You are both confusing banned and being blocked to clear up a matter.

Banned is when we tell you, you will serve a ban.

Blocked is when your account has been suspended and you need to contact staff (as it states) to clarify a matter.

This may happen at any time for any reason we suspect could be a breach of rules. It is not a ban. When you are banned, it is explained to you why, and how long you will serve.

Again, bottom line is you know the rules, and if you don't want your account locked you should clear it with staff before your friends/colleagues sign up. If you do this, you'll find your experience in such situations is vastly different.

Lordchaos is my twin brother as well. We are part of a 10 kid family. 6 boys, and 5 of them, have played or do play BB. 3 active brothers on Fumbbl, I can see that being confusing for some.

Just to let you guys know, I font think I really plan to out this person. I just thought that it was an interesting dilemma to be in. does feel a bit strange have info like this and not really want to go after the person. I dont think I can 100% prove the stuff I have found. I may just sit on it for a bit. I dont want to witch hunt a guy. I feel like a Rat bringing it up.

AFAIK no current staff member has a second account. And AFAIK no staff member is allowed a second account, or would want one. Sure you get a few people speccing your games to see your downfall, however if that bothers a staff member, they're in the wrong position.

Personally, I think you should out the person you think has a multi account. We get a fair number of 'I think so and so is a multi' tickets and generally they're appreciated (unless you just lost to them 7-0 and they fouled you in turn 16). We can evaluate fairly quickly whether your claim is worth pursuing or not, and wouldn't fall badly on you, unless you had some stupid ulterior motive (like above).

@harvestmouse- No ulterior motive. I like speccing games. I also like to check out peoples profiles, and past game write ups. Im the guy who memorized baseball stats as a kid. I enjoy checking into that junk. I just fell onto this by pure accident. 2+2=4. Somethings add up and somethings don't. I just followed the bread crumbs on this occasion. ike I said I like the guy, and I think he does contribute to the site. Not as an admin, or league organizer. He contributes in other ways.

I probably will out him. That time frame may be later, rather than sooner. I think I will ask him first then go from there. So much easier to deal with something like this when you are face to face rather than online.

Sometimes multi accounts are caught this way. I wouldn't advise you confronting him on it. Just send a ticket and your 2+2 and we'll re add it up. Multiple accounts isn't the end of the world for coaches here, however it needs to be stopped asap.

I think it matters whether or not this guy is exploiting the multiple accounts. Do what you wish, but I'd be a lot more willing to state some names (privately to admins) if the coach's multiple accounts were playing each other.
